Hey guys. Here at Palm Beach international raceway they host a roll racingracing event every month. Street Racing Made Safe is geared towards the guys who have more street friendly modded cars. No Outlaw, promod or crazy drag cars here. Figured it would be a good time go have some fun and bring both my little boys to the track for the first time


How it works is you can pick who you run and decide on a 20mph, 30, 40 mph rolling start from behind the tower. You can do a dig run but there is no prep. Once you get to speed by the tree you race till the end of the 1/4. I am from the school of standard 1/4 so this was a bit different but really fun. Had 4 races. I beat a turbo M235 BMW and a new 2015 Charger Scat Pack 392. Lost to a c6 vette and a nice built 1LE Camaro.


First run against the turbo M235. Don't mind the granny shift into 4th. Already had him by a good bit. lol

Thanks! Stock bottom end 6.0 LS2. 231/242 Brian Tooley Stg 3 NA cam package, BTR dual .660 springs, BTR 7.425 chromoly pushrods, Kooks stainless headers, Kooks catless mid pipes, magnaflow exhaust, ported stock TB, Lingenfelter CAI, Monster stg 2 clutch, GMM ripshifter, G-force rear axles, BMR drag bags, Polyurathane master bushing kit.

I will be there for the 1/4 anyway.

Is your car manual or auto?

Thank you. According to there site there having a regular 1/4mile test and tune on Wednesday 2/17.

Yes the car is a 6 speed manual.
 
Went to an event with my buddy with his g8 gt that has a blower. Was 55mph start speed and 1400ft he was doing 9.8 at 133mph


Winner of event was a 1346whp is300 that did 7.4 at 161. But his start speed was 42mph so that run couldn't count. But 158mph was winning run.
 
What did you mph and do you remember what the top speed of the meet was?

I used to be a "Dry Lakes Racer" as well as Bonneville so top speed is my only comparison.

We were starting about 35-40mph and I was trapping about 116-118mph. Unfortunately there are no official time slips at this event. Just fun runs.

My car in a regular standing 1/4mile has gone 12.4@110mph
