In December-March will many times switch from rinseless washing to traditional two bucket wash. This time period is when our cars get much dirtier. In an effort to keep things simple was wondering about the following.Using a pump sprayer to do a pre soak with the same wash soap that's in my wash bucket. At present the wash soap I have is the Turtle Wax Slick n Slide.
I have a pressure washer but don't really want to drag it out for a wash. I typically just use a garden hose when doing a traditional wash. Also not really interested in obtaining any of the standard pre wash treatments such as Bilt Hamber, etc or getting into snow foaming.. Just trying to get a descent non marring winter wash.
Maybe my thinking is wrong but any cleaning done by snow foaming has more to do with the wash soap instead of the foam. Have never really heard of anyone pre soaking via the method descibed above. I realize rinsing with a pressure washer would most likely do a better job but again trying to keep things simple.
So do you think this would be a waste of time and soap? If you did do this would you soak the vehicle down with the wash soap from the pump sprayer, allow that to dwell and then rinse with a hose before contact wash or would you rinse with the hose first, then apply the wash soap via the pump sprayer and go directly into the contact wash with a bucket of wash soap and a wash mitt?
