yeah no sweat. i'll have an update up tonight. turns out the rubber washers alone work without any problems and space it out enough where the lamps don't touch. bonus.

i took the 1300 lumen piece back tonight and got three more of the 1050s.

PS - totally off topic but just in case anyone needs a lock for anything lol...

my wife needed combination lock for her gym locker - she's been going to our gym for years and not locking her stuff up! i just found this out. granted, it's usually just clothes and her car key, but with the clientele we have...i can't believe it has worked out so long without any incidents. ANYWAY, i found this really neat Master digital combo lock on sale for $2, down from $16 and the Master Lock site has it for $40.

Just received all my stuff and put it all together this weekend. Awesome setup! Love it! Can't say enough about it!

I wonder how wide the housings are; the 100 We Sylvania units almost touch on the Fancierstudio head.

yep, those look to be more appropriate. SameGuy has a good point though - check the diameter specs vs. the Sylvania PAR 38s that look like the one here because if they are bigger, it might be too tight to mount them side by side with the Fancierstudio dual light mount, even with using rubber washers to tighten things up/space it out. i realized tonight that these mounts are not made super consistent from piece to piece because on one, the bulbs still barely touch even with a rubber washer in each appropriate spot...but the other mount has ample space between the bulbs with the same four rubber washers. there is room to add even more washers but i don't want to make any guarantees since the only two mounts i have are slightly different from each other lol.

bummer that Amazon (themselves) is out of stock of those particular pieces for $35 shipped. that is a heck of a lot of output! i'm still on the fence about these 1050 lumen units vs. the 1300 pieces. i couldn't tell a worthwhile difference with them side by side but i don't want to sell myself short in some way...and if it get the better ones, that's another 1200 bonus lumens vs. what i have now for only another ~$28 total.

anyway, here are some pics of the rubber washers i used and then installed. the ID is a little bigger than the rod, but that was the best option that i could find as the one with the rod size ID was not nearly as large overall and that imo would hinder the tightening benefit of this mod.

here is how much threaded end is left with all washers installed. note this is super loose without anything being sandwiched down there is much more effective thread available once it's all tightened down.

random useless pics. i didn't really position these in a way that i'd actually use them but you get a general sense. notice in the one picture you can see how the bulbs are closer to each other on the bottom vs. the top. that's WITH washers installed on both pairs, lol.

Since I am doing more mobile work now since I've moved. I wanted something where I could store the lights and put them and take them off when I head off. So I went to Home Depot and bought a Husky Bag, I can now put all my other stuff in there too. So I like it and since I couldn't go too big since I fit it all in my car. I went with this one.

I'll get some pictures on how the lights show paint defects, but I imagine they'll be a nice addition to my arsenal.

What's the largest anyone has run for bulb width/sizing? Just want to make sure neither Par38 bulb hits each other.

even if they do, you can do what i did with the rubber washers and space it out. that also helps things be more secure anyway as it allows more bite between the rotating parts once tightened down.

So these are single diode, right? By that, I mean there is just one light and not a bunch of lights clustered. tnecniv provided a picture of each here. It looks like they're single diode from the picture, but I just wanna be sure.

Thank you for posting the pictures by the way. Those things were suggested months ago in a different temp, but it looks like you're the first to try them.

Also, do the bulbs touch?

Where did you get the rubber washers, and what size did you use?
 
Has anyone used a bending arm for this light? There are times where checking reflections on horizontal panels seems it would help out tremendously. I'm not a huge fan of headlamps so I think this could be a good alternative if it was stable.
