I wouldn't want the oils in my hand contaminating the wax.

Every now and again I will use a DA but I cannot get around the fact that I waste a lot of product since the pad needs to be covered.
This may have already been mentioned but the only wax i know that says to apply by hand is zymol royale which is something like $10,000 a jar. Its 100% white carnuba which is very hard so the heat and enzymes in your hand breaks it down and essentially melts it.
I've been waxing by hand the past couple times, I seem to use less wax that way -- used way too much with the applicator (1/3 to 1/2 a Dodo 30 ml jar) no matter how hard I tried to ration.
FWIW, the subject in question is not about waxing byhand with applicators, but spreading wax with bare hands.
