Since most of my car washes are usually rinseless and rarely traditional i put a grid guard in each bucket.

I used to use a grit guard in my wash bucket. But I felt like I was wasting soap that settles on the bottom.
I stopped using it and my wash is always clean. So I dunno.

They seem to just hold the dirt and it takes forever to try and get them clean when rinsing. Need a grit guard designed to attach to the side of the bucket so you can access it easier.
