Dodge Avenger- Worst Interior to Date

Out of curiousity, what do you charge when something like that comes in? I'll admit, I've been guilty of undercharging on stuff like that. I think the bare minimum I could have charged for that would have been $240, 8 hours @ $30 per hour. But, recently I've been trying to get $40 per hour. . .so $320.

How do you guys price these tragedies?!

Amazing work. :props:

I work for my school's Campus Safety department and one of our patrol vehicles is an Avenger with an interior about as bad as this one. It drives me nuts every time I have to drive it. I now know there would be hope if they ever were to ask me to clean it.

 holy moly!!! that was beyond trashed. makes you wonder what their house looks like?

nice turn around. :xyxthumbs:

As I was reading this post I was thinking the exact same thing!

Great turn around!

It's hard to say what your market will allow you to yield as people are only going to pay so much because of what others will offer pricing-wise. My hourly rate for something like this is always always always, without exception, $40/hour. And I usually give a range and find out their budget for the work. You would suspect that this turn around was an 8 hour job, but I was actually able to achieve this within 4-5 hours.

Sometimes is just experience and know-how that allow you to price a job like this within a comfortable range. Now, this was not a guaranteed perfection job either. This was a "get it as close to normal as possible and I'll be happy" job. Needless to say, they were thrilled with the turn around. I didn't price or show the headliner is this job, we excluded that for a number of reasons, but primarily it's weakening condition and price.

Stay strong and confident in your pricing. Let your work speak for itself and show it off...often! Then you'll feel much more comfortable pricing @ $40/hour. Heck, I started at $25/hour because that's what my market here allowed.
