Does your Griot's DA say PROFESSIONAL random orbital on the side?

So is it invalid now to make a point of the GG being the most powerful when consider which DA to get?

How does it compare to the PC and megs?

I'm confident enough to say yes!

How does it compare to the PC and megs?
I've owned all 3 units, and I'd say they're all right around the same power. My "professional" Griot's unit, without a doubt, is more powerful than the PCXP, G110v2, and the current Griot's DA being sold.

What will be interesting, is to see if Griots dialed down the power/speed of the latest version. I always felt scared that something was going to blow up on speed 6. My GG says professional on it. I used my first one on speed 6 all the time and it did not last that long. My second one never goes pass speed 5 has faired much better.
I'm thinking that's what happened. ;) I emailed Griot's just now. I'll let you all know once I get a response.

I'm going to try to find a brand new "professional" GG DA to buy, so I can validate my thoughts 100%. There has to be one floating around somewhere.

Bought mine in April of last year (2011) and it has "Professional Random Orbital" Have fun in your garage!on the side.

My first GG6 I bought last September and it said professional on it. That one got fried on Wednesday so I went to the flagship store in Tacoma and exchanged it and the new one I got says professional too and works just as well.

Interesting. I wonder why some say professional and some don't? I find it ironic how the ones the 3 that I had that didn't say professional were definitely weaker than the one I still have that says professional.

I have 3 (2-6" and 1-3")and they all say Professional on them. One 6" was replaced at the Indy warehouse in Plainfield this yr. I never have had a power problem w/GG 6" machines.

I'm not imagining things, but the last 3 I ordered were weak(all didn't say professional), plain and simple. I just ordered one from eBay, and it says professional, so if it's more powerful than the previous 3 I ordered, I will believe there is a difference in some machines. If it's weak as well, then the first one I have is just a freak!

I'm with you Mark. The current machine is decent but has waaaay less power then the one I had 2 years ago

Big disappointment for me in Richard Griot
Flash, does the current one you have say "professional"?

The first one I had was a freak too! I really miss that machine and wish now that I would've duct taped it back together and made due with it that way. I was not expecting Griots to pull the ole switcha rama on me with this new weaker unit

Look forward to seeing how this new unit turns out. If its the real deal I want at least two of them before they become totally extinct

hmmm interesting thread. I just order the 6" this thursday night using the memorial day promo sale code. It says it will be here Thursday the 31st. So we'll see which one i end up with. A buddy of mine bought his 1.5 yrs ago and his says "professional" on it. Hopefully mine does as well.
