They really do... Even after I put on some MXV4's from Michelin I still spun through first gear and half way into 2nd...

I just enjoy it... great on gas, and to me it's a real sleeper...

dude why do you keep insisting this riced out civic could of had a chance? You are seriously making it seem like every civic with a fart pipe has a hope of winning a race againts a car that has twice the size of its engine. I know there are some fast civics out there, but like i said, thats like 20% of them.. the rest are just idiots that drop the car and put a fart pipe and go around trying to race anything that has 4 wheels. You are seriously starting to make me feel like your part of the % that dont have a fast honda... you are clearly standing up and defending ricers. Amazing.
 
I've had a few do it to me but not as many as I'd expect. I guess it's because I'm only in a "Grand Am on steroids" :rolleyes:

People always will... I respect muscle cars, always will... but the people who doubt a car just because it doesn't have a V8 in it, or it's a japanese car are just plain ignorant...

I've seen blown Corvette's get worked by SRT-4's and I've seen worked over GT-R's get crushed by Trans Am's...

It goes both ways, but some people just won't admit it.... It's sad.

Not to mention taking in the account for weight of the vehicle, suspension, tires, a lot more than just HP... I can make 10,000 HP but if I can't put it to the ground, what good does it do me?

I didn't say he had a chance, I said how do you know he didn't have a chance. Your assuming that it's a ricer because it had a fart cannon on it and that it's slow because of it.

I would be willing to bet you would also assume that an individual who looks like a bum is financial unstable too right?

The guy with the fart cannon might like the tone that it emits and some may hate it. Just like your brother likes his fart cannon that he put on his Mustang and some might not.

I'm not sticking up for any ricer, but maybe sticking up for an individual who might not have the money or luxury of buying a Z06 or a nice sports car. That like making fun of a kid at school who's parent aren't financially stable enough to purchase the latest trend of cloths or whatever.

It doesn't bother me if you think i own a ricer or not. I am whatever you say I am (slim shady himself) But what I am for sure is an individual who will never judge another human no matter what the situation be, because I don't know what they have been through... and who am I anyways to judge someone else.

Some of those cars that "sound like lawn mowers" go extremely fast and will blow the doors off an "American Iron" car, even one with a supercharger. Never test fate. Let them race someone else. Plus, the one time you decide to do it is when the police catch you and you lose your license for 6 months.

ive raced TURBO hondas before and have pulled them. They were hanging on but i was about 1 or 2 cars ahead. Now that was a pretty fast honda. IT didnt sound like crap, it actually sounded tuned. Theres a difference between a fart pipe and tuned honda. I know the difference. I actually know plently of guys who have 500HP hondas and their cars sound NOTHING like this one crappy honda was annoying me. You seriously are failing to understand that...
 
Don't you just hate it when some rustang with a 16 year old kid with major amounts of craters on their face rev at you at the stop light? Revving his tired out 5.0 engine that's barely coughing up 150 ponies to the wheels and with his cherry bomb straights that's just loud and obnoxious?

Your failing to understand my point. My point is... How do you know that you would have beat him? What if he had an exhaust cut out that he open up on you and all you saw and heard was a fart can, so you just assumed it was rice. Unless you have a trained ear and ability to see through his engine etc... Then you might be right. Other then that you don't know unless you take it to the TRACK.

There are plenty of cars that sound like straight crap, but can put down some serious power, you should know this if you are serious about drag racing.

Just answer this... How do you know you would have beat that civc? That's all I would like to know.
 
Racing on public roads is a no no. Take it to the track.

Anyone can have a fast car, and a quick 1/4 mile time. It takes a skilled driver to be fast on a road course.
