Driving behind someone, what frustrates you?

I have some more to add.

1. People in the left lane who hang out in your blind spot because all of the sudden they don't feel like passing you.

2. The second you put on your signal to move to the left lane, the car behind you in the left lane that isn't actually passing you suddenly floors it.

3. When people pull out into traffic when there is no room and end up blocking other lanes. This happened to me today. The car was in both left lanes of both directions of traffic. I gave her a nice little scare before moving over. Basically, I hate people who are in a hurry to go nowhere. Just wait your turn.

yeah like the ones who will purposely run a red light, speed and/or cut people you (or anyone else) off, only to come to the same red light you do LOL...

Speed is my main issue as well. Here in Montréal it's getting standard for people to drive at half the speed limit. It annoys the hell out of me.

that's strange, there was a day that you could count on drivers in Montreal to drive way..way over the speed limit.

Those people, if given the chance, I will just roll up next to them REAL slowly and look straight ahead, LOL!

I am an insulting ( I give people the you are number one award quite frequently)
and assaulting (I have actually punted a car off the road that pissed me off) driver.

When I was much younger I had a gigantic Ford Wagon with a built 460 AND a two plate nitrous system on it. Lowered, huge brakes, enormous wheels and Goodyear racing rubber.

And I actually got right up on a Corvette's bumper and hit the nitrous. Pushed him off the road into a big (but nearly empty) equipment storage turnout on Hwy 1 before Big Sur. He had been passing me, getting half a mile ahead, then slowing down to 45. This had been going on for about 60 miles. After the last time i had just had it. So instead of passing him again I just knocked him off the road. last i saw of him he was sliding off into the dirt area, doing huge 360's
This sounds like the tailgating scene from the movie Lost Highway. Robert Loggia rams a tailgater off the road, pulls him out of his car and give him a very stern and load lecture.

Another vote for all these slow drivers. I don't mind them hypermiling or what have you, but don't get in the fast lane to pass the semi doing 55 when you're only going 57. My van doing 80 (the speed limit here) will run you right off the road...

Let me get this straight....Some people here think it's ok to risk KILLING some guy because he was passing another guy and then slowing down? SHEEEEEEEET! He probably just wanted to get another look at that Big Block, Lowered Gigantic Ford Wagon running on Huge Wheels with Goodyear Racing Rubber! I know I sure would!

I agree 100% here. I do 60 mph in a 55 mph zone going to and from work, believe it or not, a 3 lane divided highway in the burbs still has a 55 mph speed limit but when passing I do enough speed to pass, its HOW you do it, not going 2 mph over to pass, that's just stupid, LOL!

As far as an 80 mph speed limit, well my mileage would suffer on that road but guess what, so what! When its wide open like that, going 80 mph is like going 60 mph in reality.

All this speed talk and things that bother you when driving behind them, have you guys/gals ever noticed how many badly worn tires are out there on the road? I do and let me tell you, something needs to be done about it!! You can't afford new tires, well, get the hell off of the road then! Don't know how to check your tires, well, go to a tire store, most check them for free or you could mix in some simple knowledge and learn how to do this.

Or people with missing or broken lug nuts. I was on I-355 on the bridge over the canals and a big old Dodge with 35's passes me. Next thing I know his whole wheel comes flying off, starts bouncing across all the north bound lanes and then bounces off the median over all the south bound lanes and down into the canals below. Would hate to be in boat below.

Anybody else have to deal with people who refuse to have working trailer lights for some reason? Michigan and Wisconsin seem to be littered with these people.

I've been driving behind people with ZERO brake lights. Sometimes they're third brake light will work, but the most important ones are out.

There's a 3-way stop just up the road from where I live and I've noticed that because so many people do not use their signal when they're actually turning right or left, when people get up to the 3-way stop, everyone just sits there not knowing what anyone is about to do. I've had people sitting there way before I ever pulled up, then they wave me on to go through. That sh!t bothers me to no end. Ignorant people.

As far as bald tires are concerned, I've seen a lot of them. My girlfriend has a friend who continuously buys used tires and they always blow out. That's when I mentioned they could buy a new tire for 70 or 80 bucks that is brand new and has a lesser chance of blowing out. "It's too expensive, can't afford it." Yeah, you can afford to buy tires at 40 bucks each 4 times a year... you can afford a new tire or two.

Holy crap! I know someone like this as well....WTF? If you can't afford tires, you can't afford a car. Start walking!

Agree 100% but once again, COMMON SENSE IS NOT SO COMMON!

When you are behind someone going 70 and then when you go to pass, they are suddenly doing 80.

People who stop at a 4 way intersection when there is only a 3 way stop. By stopping, you just confused the hell out of everyone coming from the other 3 directions.

Yeah that's a D-bag move right there, I guess they figure to win that "life's little battle" right there, congrats to them, LOL!

Am I the only one that notices that people w/ Prius' drive pretty fast out there? Ever notice its old people that used to be dope smokin' hippies from the 60's driving em' too? Also, how much is the Obama-Biden sticker option, most of em' seem to have that too!

^^ whenever I get a bit frustrated and I see that Obama/Biden sticker I immediately go "No wonder!" In my head.. :/

Short drive to the bank today reminded of this thread

Lady in the red car poking in the fast lane, I move to the outside and almost clear her as I have to turn left just up ahead. Side by side I crowd her a couple times hoping she'll think "whats that guy doing" and slow down opening up a hole. Not this time, wasn't to be

Couldn't be aggressive at all with the Harley in front of me... fun fun fun!

Very simple. People who sit in the left lane. The left lane is the passing lane.

I get quite irritated everyday on the way to work. For some reason, around the same time I am driving, on the same part of the freeway are cement trucks. Always about 3 spread out a mile or more between.

They ALWAYS drop gravel/rocks/cement chunks and it always bounces along the road threatening my paint. Whats worse is the cars behind kick up the same rocks so you don't even know to avoid that lane until you hear the first bang.

Basically any semi truck pulling gravel trailers/cement trucks force me into anger mode where I cut into the furthest lane possible as fast as possible.

people who wait till the last minute and try to squeeze in a lane that is already stopped, causing back up till that person can get in. get in the correct lane!

I dealt with this this morning. Keep in mind there is about an 1/8 mile on ramp. Note the license plate. And she was stopped before entering the on ramp. View attachment 21174
