Drying Towel

Truth be told, I don't even know what a real chinchilla towel looks like, I just call that my chinchilla towel because it's unlike any other towel I have... It's super soft and silky, it's not normal microfiber but it's supposed to be safe on car paint, but I got @the 99 cent store and never had the guts to put it to the test and see if it scratches or not.

But my cat likes it.lol.

Ha, I bought some similar, if not the same, towels from the cheap store about a year ago. Same thing, I haven't touched them.

There so soft they'd make a nice blanket, but too slick against themselves to be folded. Too slick for polish removal.

Maybe they work for a GD rinseless, but I'm not even sure if they hold any water.

Yup! Sounds like you've got the same exact towel because you described it perfectly. Lol.

Not too long ago I tried it out as my "dedicated" chrome polishing towel to use with my rarely used bottle of Mothers All Chrome, but the more I used it the more I noticed it sucked at absorbing liquids and just didn't feel right for the job.

I've washed it real good and made it the cats towel now. But my cat hates being covered while she sleeps so it's pretty much useless. Lol.

I keep trying to see if she'll sleep under her chinchilla towel for longer than a few minutes. Lol.

Tried all sorts of drying towels.

Went back to the one wet, one dry method.

All my fancy towels are now either cushions for knee & products or fender protectors.

<--- Dinosaur.

So you wash the panel and then take a clean, but wet MF towel and go over the panel again and then follow with the same type, but dry MF towel?

That's interesting, based on the bottom flap of this pic that you posted they would appear to be a near match... But the top flap looks a bit different. Is the PFM towel the same exact pile on both sides?

My towel is double sided, it's the same micro loop on bigh sides. [they offer a single sided towel, but the double sided is described as better so went with the double]

The PFM is the same on both sides.

You're Korean towel looks to be the same. Maybe a little shorter pile but it's hard to tell from the pic.

This type of towel is about to start flooding the market. DI now has a single sided version in three sizes, Adams has a glass towels like this in green, the gyeon silk dryer is this weave, and the rag company is still testing their version. They call it a twist weave from what Levi said. Oh and gyeon also has a new mitt made with the microfiber.

The PFM'S are truly amazing.

I used it for the 2nd time today. My initial thoughts after my 1st try was that the towel was alot smaller than I imagined it would be, and I wished it was larger...

But I found out today that while it may not look and feel quite as large as some other towels available, it packs 1 hell of a punch! Almost like it has a 2nd wind because it almost seems to hide a bunch of water and want more once you fold it. It handled this big Chevy Silverado [which had no beading or sheeting to assist] with no problem.

Not saying that's unheard of, but the ease of use was remarkable. Paired up with Wolfgang Uber as a drying aid and the towel was just gliding across the paint.

Btw, I think I've made my mind up. Uber rips Ech2o to shreds in everyway that matters. Just my 2 cents.

Nice! Glad your liking it.

I've been playing with ech2o a lot lately and I'm not really that impressed. I'm probably one of the few. I feel like I got bit by the flavor of the week bug.

There are just to many good products. I can't justify all the extra wiping. Also it bugs me that the rinseless dilution seemed like an after thought. Ehhh.

So this towel is a proto-type or not available to masses yet?

Sorry it's not a PBM product

However, if you do find it, it's made in 3 sizes (27.5" x 17.7", 27.5" x 35.4", 27.5" x 78.7") and there is currently no US distributor. I just bought the middle size one from the UK distributor.

Maybe PBM will pick these up as a nice alternative to the Griot's PFM?

the product name seems to vary slightly between Korea, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK distributors.

I just used my medium Big Blue drying towel with a spray wax while my car was wet with D114 and it had NO problem drying everything to the bone, amazing product

Same here. I used the Big Blue [largest size] with the SUV sprayed heavily with Wolfgang Uber as a drying aid and it dried the whole vehicle bone dry in 1 pass over every panel. Dried the roof last by simply plotting the towel on the roof and pulling it off. It's like drying your vehicle with a freaking blanket using this towel, I love it. Lol.

I have the PFM and the single sided version as well. While the single side does dry it has way less fibers to absorb and it shows BUT for a 4th of the PFM price you can buy 4 for the price of one. I'd still rather have the PFM
