Duragloss 105 as all in one?

Thanks for the heads up! My orange pads should be here tomorrow and I have a car scheduled for the weekend, should be fun! I'm waiting until I get this one figured out so I'll know when and where to offer it.

I wonder if the 671 will outlast 501, which has great longevity? I also am trying to find the right pad and polish combo. I have a vehicle with soft paint andcone with hard paint. I typically use UC with orange (5 1/2 pads with Griots), Griots #3 with white, Duragloss 501 with black, and then 24 hours later Collinite 845 with black. I am wondering if I could skip the Griots #3 step since the 501 has some cut? It definitely would save me some time if I could.

Anyone???

I dont know about 671 since I never used it, but 501 last a long time. I do a friends car with 501 once a year, and he says that it last a year . I know it doesent but he thinks it does, and thats the main thing.

I am wondering about AIO's and polishes. I have UC, Griot's #3, and 85 RD. Does it make sense for anyone to follow 85RD with an AIO like Duragloss 501? Also, would it make sense to follow UC with 501 or do I need another polishing step?

Honestly the only thing I can tell you is to try it out. I followed 85RD with DG 501 by hand and it didn't alter the gloss in my opinion. I may try it by machine just out of curiosity but on a blue pad.

Guys, I can't answer specific questions about the 652 or the 671 Swirl remover as I have not yet used either one. I have some 671 coming to me to try out. I have a lot of experience with 501. I love it so much I bought a gallon of it. Like Richard, the only thing I can suggest is to try different things out and see what works for you with your paint.

I have an odd question for the DG users. Anyone mixed a little 501 with 105 to get a little extra bit on the cleaning? I currently use either 501/601 or 105/601 depending (use the 501 primarily on the boat) but thought maybe do a 1 part 601, 3 parts 105, 1 part 501 mixture. Gotta do the GF/Wifey's Benz soon, it's white so DG is the product choice but thought I might try this mix since it's got some really tiny swirls/rids hard to really see but I see them. Any thoughts. Thanks in advance.

bobble - don't know about mixing the two together... however i have used DG prec-cleaner in the past on my truck and it did a great job of removing swirls on my black paint.

@Duck - Thanks I have used the standard combos 601/105 601/501 several times. Just she got this new to her car(2008) and I want to get it set up correctly. She does not see the swirls but I do (washed it last night) hence the question. I may hit it with Menz 203 on the hodd and trunk making the question moot but thought I might be able to save a step.

Number one, never be afraid to experiment with their line. All of their products are compatible with each other. I have done something close to what you asked HERE. I mixed the new DG nano sealant/polish with 501 and it worked very, very well. It is like 105 on steroids, so it should work well for you too. Try it and let me know how it does for you.
