Duragloss 105 as all in one?

Can I use 105 as a cleaner and light polish to remove previous wax and sealants? Or do I need to use a dedicate paint cleaner first? How is the shine of 105?
 
I use 501 the marine version as an AIO as long as swirl removal is not a real concern
 
The 105 will work as a all in one if the paint is in good shape. If its not in good shape you have to get it in good shape. 501 will work as will swirl remover and precleaner. There are other cleaners and polishes out there.

Swirl Remover (Can't remember the #):Yes, and it does have protection in it too. I was not aware of this until recently.
 
Richy, does 501 contain abrasives? If it doesnt, should it still be considered an AIO? I know that 501 contains strong cleaners and, personally, it's the only sealant that I have ever used for my own cars. I love its longevity.

I did not think it contained abrasives until I spoke to Jerry Bailey Thursday, he confirmed that it does contain diminishing abrasives. I was wrong before and I admit that. So yes DG 501 can be considered an AIO. #671 Swirl Mark Remover is an even stronger AIO, meaning it removes more defects and is highly recommended to be used by machine for maximum results.

I've used Duragloss 105 as a cleaner and polish and left it on as a sealer, and the shine was good. I topped it with Optimum Opti-Seal a day later for better results. Collinite 845 is a great topper, also.

Glad you got the same response. I said it was abrasive from my testing, then people said I was wrong. I emailed DG, got the same answer and people still said I was wrong.....

Put it between your fingers, you can feel the abrasives.
 
For cars that are only clayed and sealed is 501 aggressive enough to remove clay marring?

I am finding more and more about the DG swirl remover. It is an amazing product that corrects and protects all in one step. I have some on order. It will be more powerful for correcting than the 501 is. The 501 is a great cleaner.

No, THIS one (671). It has abrasives and polymers..a true one step. It took Jerry 3 years to get this the way he wanted he told me today. He is very proud of this product. I am excited to try it out. I can't believe I haven't before now to be honest.
(It does not appear to be on AG's website, or else I would have linked it there of course)
 
wonder why AG doesnt carry 671?! what other DG products do they not carry?

i wish DG would label their product differently. i actually have to READ the backs or the AG product description a few times to remember what is a sealant, want is a polish, what is both, and what is a little bit of both. love the products, but so confusing! maybe its just me

Be careful with that one, it does have some bite to it. If you're happy with the finish it leaves behind then you will have to apply protection afterward unlike #671 Swirl Mark Remover.

They don't carry it Richy, I got mine straight from DG. I'm still trying to find the perfect pad for it. On hard paint the white LC polishing pad doesn't have quite the bite I'm looking for. Going to try the orange LC pad next then try B&S. Jerry told me it doesn't take much product but I think I used too much because when I called him yesterday he said to work it into the paint until it disappears. Well that didn't happen with me. Give me some time and I'll get it dialed in. In fact I have a car scheduled for the weekend that I'm going to try it out again. Best part is that it contains zero fillers, so the finish you see is the finish you actually have and it's not going to wash away.

I wonder if the 671 will outlast 501, which has great longevity? I also am trying to find the right pad and polish combo. I have a vehicle with soft paint andcone with hard paint. I typically use UC with orange (5 1/2 pads with Griots), Griots #3 with white, Duragloss 501 with black, and then 24 hours later Collinite 845 with black. I am wondering if I could skip the Griots #3 step since the 501 has some cut? It definitely would save me some time if I could.
 
Thanks Richy / Rwright... i was looking on AG site last night trying to find it... makes sense that i couldn't then.. LOL...

RW - my 2010 f-150's paint is pretty 'hard' from what i can tell... i used the pre-cleaner in the spring with a LC orange pad and it took out all the minor swirls i had from washing... seems like no matter how hard i try (2 bucket wash with grit guard, blow dry the paint, and the guzzler to finish) black metalic still shows some minor swirls at the end of summer. LOL (note to self - never buy a pickup truck in black again) LOL
