what is the most dust repellant LSP? I live in the city and regularly detail my car. however, it gets dusty everyday. i usually just use a california car duster and either opti-clean or a qd after. is there any LSP out there that acyually repels dust?

Sent from my GT-I9300 using AG Online

Im guessing that sealants or coatings don't attract dust like wax! I've seen some guy on here review menzerna powerlock with a blue Saturn. He demonstrates 50/50 on a panel with one side menzerna pl and other side with different waxes or lsp. The powerlocl did a pretty good job as it did not attract much dust.

I have heard Zymol Glasur is great. The beading is amazing.

I've always great success with Wolfgang Deep Gloss Spritz Sealant. Its dust attraction (or lack there of) is the best I've found for any LSP.

It provides up to two months of stand alone paint protection but you can use it over any LSP you'd like - coatings, waxes, sealants, etc.

Zymol glasur. Only thing I use anymore. Hardly any dust builds up and keeps car cleaner looking longer. No other wax or sealant I have used comes close. (Reload, fuzion, 845,BFWD,BFMS,souveran, BF Crystal seal, DODO rainforest, blue velvet, skull candy)

Use FK425 as your QD. It will repel dust for several days and leave the finish slick and looking fantastic.

Wolf's Hard Body repels EVERYTHING better than ANYTHING else I have ever seen.

Note* I have not yet tried EXO, but I hear that EXO is another phenomenal coating.

I read somewhere recently of a guy having great anti-static results with repeated use of CG Hybrid V7.

I found hard body to be some of the worst stuff I ever used. It lasted about 2 months for me on my wife's car before beading was gone and car never released dirt well at all. It was prepped properly and had 2 coats on her car. After 4 months it was 100% gone. Water just sat on car and didn't not run off

Maybe they should call Wolf's No-Body. I think there is little difference, especially after the first wash, between LSPs and dust. It's more related to the environment than any product. This is what I would personally call "hype".

Also interested in this as the wax I use (not sold by AG so it shall not be mentioned) attracts a lot of dust and pollen QUICK where I live, being really the only reason I need to wash.

Something that will repel, or heck just something that won't make it cling, would be great.

Keeping it factual, there are a whole load of posts on the net about durability of Wolf's 'nano' products. One common answer will be that the hydrophobic character is not indicative of the product actually being present and still protecting. This is not unique to Wolfs products and I tend to be a bit sceptical when I read it because no proof is ever offered. In my view, to make this statement it should be justified by some scientific data, otherwise what is to stop anyone saying this about practically any product?

The other area you will find posts on this topic are related to maintenance. Wolfs talk about a 'nanobridge' and how this becomes 'blocked' which stops the beading. Apparently this can results from anything from dirt through to the 'wrong' wash product. As a result, Wolfs are pretty clear that you should be using only their wash and maintenance products. These products tend to contain additional protecting components so probably keep 'topping up' the hydrophobic character which will go some way to making sure the original sealant lives up to expectation.

You can buy into wolfs all you want. But I am not going to and be forced to change my wash from ultima and duragloss for them trying to force you to use their shampoo to spend more money on the product line for marketing. Do you use hard body? I have first hand experience on its durability and its hype over adding hardness and my testing showed zero extra protection from scratches with different materials.

Stuff was a true let down for me.

So you let it go for 4.5 months..Hummm:confused:

@OP:

Immediately after the wax/sealant-LSP that I have applied to a vehicle has cured...
I either rinse the vehicle down with cold water from the hose/hose bib assembly,
or spritz it down with cold water from a spray bottle.

Tends to hold the dust-settlements at bay fairly well.

:)
