I got a call from Dustin asking me to come and detail his Subaru that had been garaged for close to a year, that he wants to take out to the last SOCSA ( Subaru Owners Club SA ) event of 2014. To be honest I was a little scared, didn't know what to expect from a car that had been garaged for about 12months. Upon arrival I noticed that the car had been kept in a great condition throughout. After chatting with dustin for a few mins I quickly learned that he is very meticulous about the car. Most of the work had been carried out by him, even the tuning on the ECU will be a self tuned file etc. Knowing that, I knew that the effort from my side will DEF be appreciated and being looked after long after I have left his place. I explained to him just how soft the Subaru paint actually is, just to give him an understanding about how to treat the paintwork.

So what does the car in question look like ?

I quickly helped Dustin to refit the Carbon Fiber bonnet, and the front bumper. After that I cleaned the wheels and the arches, followed by a wash and dry aswell as decontaminated the paintwork. After this we pulled it back into the garage, and I started with paint correction. I opted for orange pads, alternative pad between cutting and polishing, serving both. Polish used was Menzerna PF2500.

After the whole car had been corrected, including the Carbonfiber bonnet, the LSP I used was Menzerna Powerlock. Glass had been cleaned and the tires had been dressed. When Dustin took the Subaru out of the garage this was the end product

As always, thanx for having a look. No editing has been done, straight camera shots off my iPhone6 Plus.

All of this happened on the Friday, Dustin put the car completely back together the Saturday. The Sunday the car took 1st place at their SOCSA show&Shine event
