I have some swirls that the mechanic induced, by helping me and washing my truck. I'm thinking they used one of those damn brushes on it.. some scratches I can catch on my finger, but most are swirled. I tried to use the Wolfgang trio of polishes but didn't like them. When I uses poorboys a while back, their SSR line up, it seemed to work well. Their new stuff doesn't seem up to pay anymore neither.

Any recommendations on a one step polish that will work? I don't need it glass clear, but I'm sure there is a Polish out there that finishes from a medium to a fine and will produce a good quality look.

Thanks guys

I actually made a mistake. I didn't mean one step in terms of polish and sealant. I meant one step polish from medium to fine, I guess diminishing abrasives. Don't they break down into a finer polish

Menzerna 2500 is my go to for that application. Works great with a white ccs or Tangerine Hydrotech.

I'm surprised you didn't like the Wolfgang trio. Pretty much anyone that tries it loves it. Menzerna 2500 is basically the same thing as WG Total Swirl Remover so although that's also a favorite, you might not like it if you didn't like the WG product.

I would give HD Speed a shot if the swirls aren't too bad.

Yeah honestly I don't know why... Just didn't seem to bite well. Also noticed dusting, and I thought when I bought it, it was a no dust product... I barely tapped into them at all. Hopefully i can unload them on here to recoup some money

I'm thinking HD polish+..

Meguiar's M86 Solo Cut and Polish Cream sits between M105, and M205 in aggressiveness. That might also work.

Sonax Ex 04-06 or Sonax Cut & Finish which is a little more aggressive than Ex 04-06. Used both and they do not dust. They worked well for me.

I know mwoywod is a hugh fan of this polish. All I've ever used is HD Polish and I thought it dried up too quick. But, I think Mwoywod said they cleaned that up with polish+.

And, second on the Sonax 04-06. Great finish but a little more $.

Yep...Menz 2400 or 2500 excels in this capacity.

Have found that HD Polish+ doesn't have the cut necessary to get to things the 2400/2500 will. It is nice to use, however, just lacking in cut for deeper things.

The HD Polish + might do well with some microfiber polishing pads though!

Or even something like an orange CCS cutting pad...?

Did someone say HD Polish+?:dblthumb2:

It's the best finishing polish on harder paints and the best 1-step on soft/medium paint

If you didn't have a good experience with wolfgang compounds and polishes, it's safe to assume you won't like menzerna MC2500 either.

What makes HD Polish+ so versatile is that it doesn't have to be fully broken down to finish well. Like M205, it uses non-diminishing abrasives so it's cut is largely determined by pad choice.

While it's not as easy to remove as m205 on hard paints and doesn't have as much cutting potential. It's still ridiculously easy to remove and it finishes better 9/10 times. Aside from that, it doesn't dry up even when used on a hot panel & stays lubricated even on oxidized single stage paint, it works great on soft/sticky paint, it won't cake up on your pad and best of all it won't stain plastic or rubber tri
Griot's correcting cream is something special as well, if you need something with more cut. For guys that loved HD adapt, give griot's correcting cream a whirl.

Thanks I found sonax ex 04-06 large bottle for 40$ shipped. Couldn't pass it up.

Hope it works well

Scholl S20 Black

I didn't like 04-06 at all, but most people do.

Sonax Perfect Finish - one step polish
Menzerna 2500 - medium cut
Mild compounds that could finish well for a compound (Blackfire compound, Mckee's)
Aggressive compound that could finish acceptably with the right pad Menzerna FG400

Have you tried your bottle of S20 Black yet?

Finally tried it today. Not sure how I feel about it. Leaves a good finish with nice gloss, easy to wipe off and does a pretty good job for a one step. It just dusts too much for my liking.

The dusting reminded me of what I experienced with HD Polish. Which I disliked so much that I gave HD Polish away.
