I've started dampsanding my sister's summer car this afternoon

a 2001 eclipse spyder from floride with a custom paint that was done this winter, the painter did not want to wetsand the car so i offered to cut down 500$ on the price and i would do it.

here's how it started (well not really,I forgot to take pictures of the hood before)

process is wash with ONR,path dry, spritz water then dampsand with 3000 grit sanding disc on GG DA, remove sanding marks with presta ultra cutting creme on rotary and wool pad,DA pass with orange pad and meguiars ultimate compound followed by a pass on green pad with optimum finish topped with meguiars 16.

before (the car looks like this all around)

That is a wild paint job. Please post a full car shot. Nice work on damp sanding.

Your picture are over 2000 pixels wide, only half of your pictures are fitting on my 24" wide monitor.

Give me the link to your gallery and I'll insert them the correct way so everyone can see them without the dreaded horizontal scroll...

:)

still needs some things to do on it like tinting the front blinkers black. I also need to finish the 3 other wheels, the front driver side one is the only one I've done up to now, haven't had time to do the other ones because there has been rain for 2 weeks straight

Hi Mario,

I downloaded your 2000+ pixel wide pictures and resized them using the software and the technique I show here,

How to resize your photos before uploading to a photo gallery - Using Easy Thumbnails

Then I uploaded them into your gallery using the how-to information in this article,

How to upload a photo into your Autogeek Photo Gallery

Then I inserted the 800 pixel wide photos into your post above using this article,

How to insert an image from your photo gallery into your message

And many you did a great job sanding and buffing out the orange peel on the Eclipse Sypder. Read through the above threads and practice working with images on forums, it will help you the rest of your life anytime you want to share a picture with the world on a discussion forum, heck you might even have a job someday where it's part of your duties...

And here's the link to your gallery where your pictures are now located...

For anyone reading this thread, here's an article on Dampsanding, which we also teach in our Advanced 102 Classes here at Autogeek.
