Epic road trip 2015

Well folks,

I've made the decision to depart Orlando, am wrapping things up here and am about to embark on one giant-sized road trip west.

Very early Monday morning, I'll be headed out, with plans to be in San Francisco by Thursday. While I'm there, I'll see my incredible daughter, who by a weird twist of fate, ended up not far from where I grew up in the Bay Area.

I'll be interviewing for several positions in Finance while there, and depending on the outcome and timing, will then head to Denver after a week or so to visit my parents. From there, it's anybody's guess where I'll end up. I have the luxury of being able to take some time and find the right position so I'm going to enjoy the relative freedom for a bit.

I'll put up traveling posts to this thread during my evenings...more to come! (yeah, I'm excited!).

So have you actually sold your house in FL? Or is this just an exploratory trip?

House is sold, stuff in storage (except my giant roadtrip detail bag, and a papa johns pizza in the fridge). Trip is exploratory but not completely "unknown". Strong possibilities in the Bay Area after months of conversations and planning.

That said, I'm looking forward to the break and most of all being close to family after 5+ years in Orlando on my own. :xyxthumbs:

Couldn't agree more and definitely will do! Don Pisto's in North Beach area is amazing - will be stopping in for mucho margaritas :xyxthumbs:

By the way, Rico, plan is to be in Terrell, TX tomorrow night!

Yes, I've sucked at pictures for the trip - will post some up soon.

I'm now living and working in San Francisco as Director of Finance for a venture capital firm.

Never been happier....:xyxthumbs::xyxthumbs:

And yeah u sucked on the pics side LOL. Take a lesson from Mike@DDP. We want to live vicariously through you.

I don't drink anymore but it would be great to meet up. We haven't had a Bay Area Meet n Greet in awhile, maybe it's time to get the wheels rolling on that
