by making the wheel cleaner change from neon green to red. I personally want to try the wheel cleaner just for that reason, very cool. However, most importantly, is the full effect wheel cleaner really fully effective? Light cleaning? Soiled wheels?

Its reputation seems good ... but I too will get some just to see the color change too. (still a kid at heart I suppose)

i tryed it and yes it works .but it smells like rotten eggs. notsure why they didnt choise a better sent . its awefull.

i dont get rotten eggs but rather my mother and sisters perms from the sixtys. it was called toni. still smells like hell even 50 years later. stuff works well but there are still times for the old meguires

i actually heard they might change the smell . intill then ill stick with p21s..

That's also the primary reason why I want to buy Sonax wheel cleaner. However, the price tag is just too much.

I totally agree with Mark. I have a gallon of ARO, but am really really inclined to grabbing some of the Sonax wheel cleaner. :)

If you don't choke while using it, it isn't working hard enough for you.

It's exactly like Aquartz Iron Cut. My guess is they couldn't work a smell in and have the product be PH neutral and work as well as it does. Clearly they would have made it smell like strawberries instead of rotten eggs if they could have!

However, people wishing to try the Sonax, do not shy away because of the price or smell. It is FANTASTIC. As is Aquartz Iron Cut. They both save massive amounts of time.

I completely agree. I was thinking about this as well the first time I saw it. Very smart! When I showed my wife "how cool this is" she thought it was disgusting and the color lookd like blood from a dead animal. Maybe they taylored the color to appeal to men since thats the base market?

...... price reasonable, considering what a lot of us have stocked in our Garages.

I agree. If it adds satisfaction to your process that's worth something. And the time it saves you is worth a bunch more. When I run out of my Griots Wheel cleaner I am all about the Sonax Wheel cleaner. I do think they should give a little more product though (like 32 oz.). At 17 oz I will still stick with it if it works better and saves me time.

The color-change aspect does sound interesting...but the smell thing is unfortunate.

20 bucks is pretty high for a wheel cleaner, I think (in that size). It would have to work REALLY well to be worth that.

Get the big 5 liter container. Doesn't 5 liters = 1.3 gallons? That would be 9.84(16.9 oz) spray bottles worth in the big container, or $197 worth for $99, then 10% off that with coupon codes. It comes out to be $9.05 a bottle if you go with the bigger size.

Buying in bulk is what I always like to do. I would just need to see how well it works first :)

I'm personally still a huge fan of using diluted Grime Reaper for really dirty wheels. Works great and is CHEAP.

I agree and do the same. I didn't want to spend $20 to try it out. Espeacially when it was on speacial for $79(5 liters) plus 10% off when it first came out. I'm glad I got it, it works great.

the smell issobad after i washed my rims and went inside for a drink .came back out side and walkednear my truck i could still smell it.very unpleasant..i wouldnt want a customer picking up there car and have a foul oder coem from the rims.. thats why i only use chemicals that have nice fresh sents

It certainly has a cool, novel effect to it which I'm sure will attract a lot of buyers.

It could be used as another "look at this" kind of tool with a customer. Right now people tend to be blown away by what a claybar can do, so now you can also say "check out how dirty your wheels ACTUALLY are" ha ha.

I almost want to use this stuff just to check out this smell now! It must be an impressively powerful stench.

Foul-smelling Wheels... I can get a Dog to do that ! :xyxthumbs:

Maybe I too, will wait until a nicer smelling version is available.
