Pinstripe looks good too
Any tips or tricks?
Pinstripes are fairly easy to put on, there are some decent videos on YouTube. It's a little more difficult to place them over previous pinstripes and still keep the lines straight. It took me several tries to get it right.
I started by tacking the pinstripes down to the front headlights and then pulling it as straight as possible to the rear tail lights. You can actually lay the pinstripe down and tack it lightly onto the paint with a finger on several spots to hold it in place to see if your satisfied with the placement. If you're not satisfied, you can lift the pinstripe off the paint again and line it up the way you like. I had to do this several times before I was satisfied. I actually had someone tack the pinstripe down at several spots while I kept the pinstripe taught at the rear of the car.
Once you're satisfied with the placement you then press on the pinstripe firmly onto the paint with your thumb or finger. I used a MF towel over my finger and pressed down as I slid my finger down the pinstripe for the final placement.
Also, you want to keep the pinstripe stretched tight but not too tight or else they will tend to shrink back. You can make your own designs on the ends. I tried to keep the design on the ends the same way they were before...coming together at a point.
