Ok .... I will admit it. I am a car nut and consider even the smell of raw gas to be intoxicating. So since I could not catch this movie in the theatres I grabbed it this week at CC. (Coupon in Motor Trend saves 3.00 making it a 9.99 new dvd locally)

Well, the story is corny. Who Cares ??? I saw a Viper .... I saw a Mustang Fastback .... I saw a Wide-Body RX-7 and more than 20 other toys from Japan and the far east. There was an old Maibu/Cutlass G-body also. Other than adding smell-o-vision I was good for the 1 1/2 hour fest and walked away satisfied not at the movie, but at the stars, the cars that is.

The final closing scene is not to be missed. It paid homage to the original movie and also to muscle cars in general. GTX baby .... and I wont spoil the driver. Lets just say ... Id watch a 4th if they are so inclined. Not since Smokey and the Bandit have cars been the real stars of the show. (well that one 60 second remake). I hear a modern day Bullitt and Vanishing are trying to get to market, and I am ready.

Bring on the car movies .....and to make this detail related, damn the gloss on that orange/black wide-body RX-8 was nice. I dont think it was really NXT :D

Did you find yourself nit picking the cars? LOL

I did the other day while watching Knight Rider....haha, the scratches were aweful on that black car! LOL

Glad to hear a good review on the movie. I have yet to see it.

Except for the muscle car scenes the movies are so painful to watch, and each time one of those movies comes out it's like the city turns into a bowl of Rice-A-Roni.

If you have a big screen, bad ass home theatre, then grab Ronin. The chase scense are just nutz, and unlike other modern flicks they were actually hauling ass through the streets and people etc (ala Bullet).

That’s what aggravates me about import driven movies, it's not the cars I don't like it's the idiots behind the wheels. They all want to drift and drag race on public streets (which I am guilty of doing as well [drag racing that is but on empty streets]) and act ignorant. Next time I'll get Yoda to get giggy with them lol....

LOL Chris, I do that too! When I'm watching anything on tv be it a movie or tv show, I often am distracted by the cars and pay more attention to them than to what is actually going on. I look to see if the car is detailed or if it isn't and just basically scrutinzie them. Que loca soy yo, no?

Nah, you're not crazy.....I do it in every day life as well. Stopped at a red light, I look next to me......LOL, they stare back

LOL Me too! Especially walking through parking lots because I park so far away I have to pass so many cars to get to the store. I rarely see any that are detailed. :(

Should have seen what I did the other day. I had an Accord pull next to me and start reving his car at the red light. Obviously he must have heard my exhaust on my suv earlier and at idle, so I reved back and gave him a nice dose of the V8. BUT...my V1 was going off pointing ahead and I knew there was a cop somewhere ahead (and usually cops hide behind this one building ahead), so I still gave a few rev's but light turned green and I took off normally. He took off just screaming like a weedwacker. Sure enough, there come the blue and red lights LOL.

What I used to do well I still do it, for some unkown reason to me I get they's dummys who like to get real close behind then back off then come up real quick and change lanes (known as the ricer fly-by). Well when they get ready to come up real fast I try to time it just right to slam on the brakes and whatch there lives flash before there short life :D. Needless to say they fall waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back, I know one day I may get rear ended but until that day I laugh as there panties turn brown :righton:.....

Yes .... karma will likely bite you two in the butt bad one day, what comes around goes around. I think we all too soon forget that we were that person in the rearview mirror not so long ago ....

And to all ... I am an enthusiasts of all performance cars. small or big, foreign or domestic. I find everything about them exilrating. One minute I am looking at a STS-V the next a Nismo-charged 350Z. Yummy !!
