Ohhh....Die Hard...great movie--didn't come to mind as a Christmas movie, lol...

Die Hard is definitely a forgotten holiday gem. It always rounds out my holiday movie schedule.

Man...TNT used to show this starting Thanksgiving day until Christmas day. During this time, you could fall asleep watching the movie and wake up AT THE SAME EXACT SPOT you left off on. I love this movie.

When I went to Cleveland to help my best friend back to VA, I don't know what possessed us to look up the Christmas Story house. Turns out, it was 5 minutes up the street from him, so we did the tour of the house. It was pretty cool cause it was snowing and it was around this time. They said the only real parts of the house only the outside shots of it. All of the inside shots were filmed in a studio in Canada, however they recreated much of the inside to look like scenes from the movie. Across the street is a small museum and gift shop, as well as the old man's car. It was pretty cool to see in person.

I wanted to get the replica leg lamp but wasn't trying to spend the money. I wanna say it was like $250 or more...so I ended up bringing back a leg lamp bobble head

The Miracle on 34th Street
It's a Wonderful Life
Rudolf the Red Nose Reindeer

Awesome! I always wanted to take a tour of the house. A Leg Lamp bobble head would be pretty cool. "It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen" :props:

I pass a store on the way home and they have one in the window...I'll try to snap a pic of it next time.

Favorites:

Scrooged - Bill Murray
Christmas Story

As for favorite The Christmas Carol version, I do like George C Scott's version but Patrick Stewart has a better realistic edge to it.

What is your favorite Christmas movie, I am so very excited about Hallmark having
Christmas movies on 24/7 till Christmas but no where near as excited to know that
TBS will have my favorite movie on from the 24th at 8pm till the 25th at 8am!!
It is by far my favorite Christmas movie!

I keep thinking one year Bobby is going to take me to Cleveland to visit the
original house where this movie was filmed.... he hasn't given me my gift yet so maybe this year!!! Hint.. hint..

:iagree:The Best!!! Watch it last night!!

I have all the versions of "A Christmas Carol" on either DVD or VHS tape. (well, almost all, since there are over 85 versions in existence)

My favorite version is the 1938 one with Reginald Owen.
Then
Scrooge 1951
A Christmas Carol 1954 with Frederick March & Basil Rathbone
A Christmas Carol 1984 with George C Scott & Susannah York (not one of my favorites)
A Christmas Carol 1999 with Patrick Stewart & Richard Grant. One of the better remakes.
A Christmas carol 2009 with Jim Carrey, Jim Carrey, and Jim Carrey in every roll. Best for kids.

I would like to add

"The Christmas List" with Mimi Rogers

"The Bishop's Wife" (the Whitney Houston version is also pretty good)

The Bishops Wife, Christmas in Connecticut, and pretty much all the old classic Christmas movies are my favorite.

Ok since I have never seen A Christmas Story I will have to put that on the to do list this year.
