2009 Ferrari F430 Challenge, Rosso Corsa

1 of 142 made

A client of mine decided that he was growing tiresome of tracking his street cars and he wanted a dedicated track car.
He found a very nice 2009 Ferrari F430 Challenge in Rosso Corsa. This is one of 142 Challenge cars built worldwide.
He wanted his ‘track only’ car to look as good as his street vehicles, so the vehicle was delivered to the good doc at Autodermatology!

Process:
UWW wash.
Fine nano-sponge for clay.
Paint readings were taken. This thing was THIN!!! Not much paint…perhaps to lessen the weight for race only application? Readings were between 1.5-3.5 mils.
Flex 3401 and Rupes LHR12 were used with Rupes green pad and Megs yellow polishing disc.
Nanolex NANO-ONE was used as the polish and LSP. (It’s an AIO) One step due to the paint readings.
The rear wing’s carbon fiber was polished with M205 and finished with Nanolex NANO-ONE.
Wheels were cleaned with APC, brushes and micro-fiber towels. There were not dirty at all due to the carbon ceramic brakes. There were sealed with Adam’s quick sealant.
Tires were dressed with PERL.
Glass/lexan was cleaned with Adam’s glass cleaner and a dedicated glass microfiber towel.
Exhaust tips and pipes were cleaned and protected with Pinnacle exhaust cleaner and brightener.
Engine carbon fiber was cleaned with UWW and polished with M205. The ‘dry’ carbon was wiped down with UWW and protected with Blackfire Midnight Sun spray wax.
Interior vac’d via Metro. Interior rollcage/bars/etc was wiped down with UWW.

I hope I didn’t miss anything and thanks for looking!!!

Getting dropped off:

Paint condition: Hard to see in pic. Typical swirls and minor scratches. Some scuffs. Not really bad for a race/track car at all!!!

OMG!

Before carbon fiber:

After:

Finished pics!!!

Nitrogen valve/fill/release for whole car jack system next to horse!!

Great work on such a beautiful and exotic ride!!

How does she sound? Any videos of the cold start and some revs?

Thank you!!! ^^^^Sounds FANTASTIC!!!! So loud, raspy! Love it! I do have a video, not the greatest. Will see if I can post it up!!

Fantastic, Awesome vehicle. Thank you for sharing. I already know you had a great time working on this one and I am jealous.

Looks incredible as usual. Is there any paint film on the car? Perl full strength on tires or diluted?

Thanks all! I did enjoy this one!

WaxMaster: Yes, the front end and leading edges are covered in paint film. I'd hate to see what it would look like without it!!
PERL @ 100%!!

Boy that was a nice improvement on a one step. No sense thinning it out even more...good judgement there! Only 2 things dictate how much correction can be done IMO: 1) paint thickness 2) Customer budget. Looks like you were only dealing with #1, LOL. Again, nice job!

Can you imagine having that for a track car boyz and girlz? Unbelievable and beautiful work! Maybe it's just me but that kinda looks right at home in that garage.

I thought it was mandatory that photos of Ferraris must include leggy blondes standing by for no apparent reason.

Thanks for the comments everyone!!! Richy...that was funny! Yes, that's what I was dealing with. LOL

That is a great example of one, the one I worked on was trashed and had rubber all over. He really used it what it was made for. Being that it was white it showed everything

Great that somebody you know still loves to race, most drivers today who own sport cars do it for status (as they still don't know who they are & need others to say it to them...) but never went over 200km/h for over a mile
My friends are actually fast drivers (who needs a status when car in Israel cost more than twice that's in Europe, USA etc.) the one with SLS Brabus, Jaguar & Maserati even had his drivers license confiscated for years but he is extreme example.
So I do like (or love ) to see you are having so much fun in Naples, Florida doing what you are a best at - detailing super sport cars, C'mon people: If you are in Florida with a status drive & still thinking where to detail your car & you havn't heard about Autodermatology N1, then there are other 49 states are out there waiting for you, in FL you are not welcome anymore!

Ferrari V8 are not my favourite cars as I preffer other V8 engines for beat, but race car is something extraordinary, your customer & friend now for sure simply made it to the finish with your help. Greetings to you guys from TLV :dblthumb2:
