Ferrari Purosangue options cost...WTF!

Yeah I don't like it as mfgs are moving away from cars, regular, fun to drive cars, let alone sports cars/muscle cars. I mean $50K for a Mustang ecoboost w/performance pack! Not because it's a 4 pot turbo but the price. Back in 2005 I spec'd out a GT and it was $27K, yeah 20 years ago for sure but $23K more, almost double, crazy!

The Ferrari in that video I posted is $500K in our money, no F'n way in hell

$27K in 2005 dollars is worth ~$43.6K in 2024 dollars - so it's not far from being a wash price-wise.

Yep.

At the HPDE when that Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk passed me I asked my instructor, "How is that even possible?" He replied, "Electronics. Lots and lots of electronics."

Yes vehicles are evolving to the point that they are driving you instead of you are driving them.
Haven't learned how to clean themselves though.

The sad part is the average new car price in the US is now $47K. If you look at it that way, the Mustang is only slightly over that average! I agree though, inflation has hit the car market pretty hard. I have noticed the used market is starting to settle down a bit. Now we only need lots of people to take the hit with the new cars so we can scoop them up in a couple years after depreciation has set in.
