Hi gang,
I have recieved a few things that I thought I'd share with you guys. A good buddie of mine was kind enough to send me the following.
Now to the pictures:
To my friend, thank you for the wicked packing
The pads are the Menzerna pads and the backing plate is the 3M backing plate (yes, the one that Paul uses
). I've heard rumors that the Menzerna pads are nothing more then regular Lake Country pads and others have said that the Menzerna pads are not regular Lake Country pads. Well I wanted to see for my self and they are not the regular Lake Country pads. They are hard and don't seem to have pours, so the polish wont go into the pad. Seems to me that the pads will keep the polish on the surface, I can see why people would get good results with Menzerna polish and Menzerna pads now. Looking forward to using them...using them tomorrow :righton:
This is wicked, the feel of the pad is incredable I'm impressed already. Can't wait to use it.
The following are things I purchased locally. The black fuzy thing is a 4inch single strand wool pad, then the 8inch Meg's wool pad and another 8inch single strand wool pad. I got two Meg's wet sanding blocks.
Here is my collection of backing plates now, starting at the left a 4inch, 5inch, 5inch (new) and a 7inch
Here is a comparison that I did for some of the pads I got. Like I said the Menzerna pad that I have now does not feel like any of the Lake Country pads nor the Edge pads...completely different pad. However, I do not have a CCS pad and I wonder if the Menzerna pad is like a CCS pad...only one way to find out.
Well like I said just thought I'd share.
