Man, that's a nice car! I've been dreaming of owning one of those for a while! In white too!
Beautiful car, use it in good health.
I agree. Dealers do not prep the cars well. I tell them not to touch it and i immediately do a clay/clean wax/wax. Great ride. I am thinking of getting the same thing. And u r rught, white does look great for that car.
I remember when we went to get one of our new cars. The dealer put it in the showroom because it was so sharp. The wife made them rewash it to get the fingerprints off, and re-do the windows twice before she'd take it. (that was pre AG, or I wouldn't have let them do it). Then there was the deal about the tires we specified, and it didn't have, and the radio upgrade we didn't want, and it did have. We got both for free, and the salesman wasn't there the next time we went to the dealer. That's what happens when you know more about the product than the person selling it.
Those Zs are looking better and better. The 370 is a great choice. was white your first color choice?
I had a 350z, and it was one of the best cars I've owned, handles incredible and can really move once you get going in those upper RPM's. I had a base model without even cruise control so I had to get rid of it, but to this day I'd put it up there with one of the best cars I've owned. Those 370's definitely do catch your eye. Good pick.
Looks awesome. My buddy has the same model but in black.
Looks great. I hope you enjoy the color. I find white doesn't really show enhancement nor does it show imperfections. Maybe I'm nuts.
Very nice ride and congrats!
Enjoy it in good health!
Excellent choice! I don't blame you for your process.
My wife recently got a new Regal and I went through the whole do not wash car routine. The car was sitting in the showroom with 10 miles on it, only the doors had wash induced marring. We did an overnight test drive, took the car back and started the negotiating process. The salesman said they would get it cleaned up but I declined while showing him the 5 inch light scratch and marring in the doors. He parked it out back and left a note "do not touch". They made their usual salesman jabs at me until we dropped off the Cobalt for trade. It was funny watching them all drool over the near flawless black paint on a 3 year old car and 51,000 miles on the odometer. The best part, the sales manager bought the car to be his daily driver.
thanks Pockets... however, if you knew me from before, my 2003 G only had 13k miles... so I drive it only on weekends or nice nights. I might take 3 years to get past the breakin engine period... LOL.Gorgeous Car!! Have fun with it and many happy miles :cruisin:
Hot car. Wow... love it!
That is NICE!!!!!!!!! Whoa!!!!!rops:
The ONLY colors I will ever buy are silver or white!! It's SO NICE not to see every single damn defect in the paint!!!
Very good choice!!!! :dblthumb2:
Very nice, congratulations on such a beautiful car. Glad to see someone has nice taste :xyxthumbs: I've been looking for a truck lately, every time I go out, I ask them to let me see it in the light if it's in a show room, I ask if they'll include removing the swirl marks and lowering the price as well, so far... all the salesman act like they have no idea what swirl marks are. Then I tell themm I'm a detailer and it sinks in "Oh, now I know what you mean, yeah! We can remove those." haha
Glad to see you found one without drill holes for a front plate mount. I got pulled over in my Rx7 because someone apparently stole my tags off my back plate. Who the hell does that? Cop says since I've already paid for them he's sympathetic, then he says, "You need to take it to a dealer and have a front plate installed as well. It's illegal to have no front plate." He didn't look happy when I said it was an import and I'd never put one on. Can't believe he didn't ticket me after saying that, what a swell guy![]()
Congratulations!! This is definitely the one I would have picked as well. The only cars I gave a minor thought to when getting my Sky was the 350 and the Audi TT.
It was 98% Saturn Sky, 1.5% Nissan 350, and 0.5% Audi TT.
Love the 370! Thanks for the super funny story as well
Happy driving and detailing Im the MAN
Nice ride. Look forward to your after pictures and stories.
Wow. I have driven the older 350Z and loved it. I really like how Nissan tightened up the look even more on the 370Z. Congratulations of your purchase and keep an eye on the speedo, they have a tendency to pick up speed rather quickly (understatement of the year)
Good luck with your new ride! I love the shot of the front of the car!
Wait till I get done with it... I am pretty sure I can get white to pop...esp with the flakes. hehe... But yes you are right, I won't lose sleep as much over every little swirl or scratch. With my black paint (3 cars currently), I seem to just LOOK at it and it'd get swirls again and again. It kindda gets frustrating after spending SO much time deswirling/buffing it...only to get swirls after the first washEven when proper procedures/techniques are used, honda paints are soooooooooo soft. Annoyingly soft.
