I finally decided to start detailing part-time after spending countless hours researching on the forums these past few months. After putting together a detailing menu the next step was to just go out there and start working! I realized that no matter how much you know or read about detailing that won't do you any good until you actually go out there do it.
This Z06 is a buddy's car that he drives almost everyday and tracks a couple times a year. It wasn't in too bad of shape to begin with but it needed some work done to make it look new again.
Here's what we decided on:
Exterior:
-Hand Wash/Decontaminate Paint
-Detail wheels, wheel wells, & brake calipers
-Engine bay detail
-1 Step Machine Polishing of the paint
-Wax
-Rejuvenate exterior trim
Interior:
-Vacuum
-Air purge all nooks and crevices
-Steam Clean Seats, Carpets,& Mats
-Clean, Condition & Protect Surfaces
-Windows

Overall this job took me a total of 22hrs. to complete. I took my goold old time and really wanted to learn a lot from this detail job. I love the way the car turned out and the customer was in shock as to how clean I got their vehicle :xyxthumbs:
The one thing that I couldn't figure out is how to rejuvenate the plastic fender flare behind the front wheel. I tried numerous products on it and no luck. All the other trim came out great except that. Any ideas?
