Just getting back into the detailing game. When I was big into it, flex 3401 with lc hybrid pads on 5" backing plate was big time. What pad combos are everyone using these days? Took me a couple days to realize how much has changed. New rupes and flex machines. Merzerna changed the naming scheme again.

So bottom line is what is everyone's go to with the 3401???
Thanks guys
James

Still the LC Hybrids , cant beat them on the flex.

I agree, the LC Hybrids combined with the Menzerna Line does a great job. Just learned that Menzerna changed the SF 4000 to SF 3500 when I placed an order the other day, I'll be looking forward to trying it.

:iagree: I use the same. I have enough Menzerna stuff to last me this year. I will be confused when I have to place another order. FG400 and SF4500....and what it will be called next is my guess!....LOL I believe this will be the 2nd time for the changes....I wish they would figure it out already!!...LOL

The Hybrids are durable, but the Orange is not as heavy cut as they claim. They soften up quickly, losing cut and you need a whole bunch if you intend cutting. They do finish nice though, the result of becoming super soft. The Blue Wool is the serious cutter if you work on hard paints. LC should have an improved range coming soon with foam that stays firm like the Grey ThinPro pads.

Agree on the pad choice, they a cut above the Hybrids(pun intended).
Yep. Very high quality pads that work fantastic on the 3401.

Agree 100%
