I received the new FLEX XFE and wanted to get an unboxing thread together as well as picture comparison of the new machine to the others.

Immediately right off the bat it was nice to see that the traditional FLEX controls are the exact same between the machines which in turn makes it easier to swap between machine uses as the layout and feel is identical. Another thing that stands out is THE XFE is smaller and lighter than than the others. I have not put them on the scale but you can tell the difference between holding them.

I have briefly switched it on to see how it operates but have not used it yet so I can not comment on feel, vibration, etc.

Nice work FLEX!!! Cant wait to get some seat time in with the new tool and how it behaves.

Anyhow here are the pictures.

Thanks for signing the tool Guys! Maybe I can get in contact with the FLEX boys here and see if they would sign it as well.

Thanks for posting that comparison. That sure was a long trip for that tool, from Germany to Florida back to Germany!

Nice collection of Flex's Mike !!!! Thanks for the comparison shots.

Congrats on the new polisher! Sweet collection Mike!

Very Nice! Can't wait to hear your thoughts after you've test driven it.

We are all waiting for your review of this machine. Do you have any of the Rupes machines for comparison?

Nice purchase, Mike! I was really on the fence on whether to get one of these, or the Rupes 15. I ended up with the Rupes, simply because my cars are a bit more 'curvacious' than most and the 5.5" pads work better for me. If there was a 5" backing plate available, I would have went the other way. Please let us know how it works for you, so I can see how hard to kick myself :xyxthumbs:

Although this is a nice machine. It is not in the same ballpark with the Rupes. Its a good 1st go with this machine, but from my understanding there is already work on the 2nd edition of this machine to bring up to match a little closer to the Rupes

Doesn't have the low end torque like the Rupes, but they are already working on the next edition of it

Sure thing Mike. I do not own any RUPES tools.

Thank you! My cars are 'curvacious' as well and am interested to see how this setup performs. I hear a 5" plate will be released later on down the road.

Will share everything I can.

Hope you enjoy your new Flex....Mike!

Does not make any sense whatsoever to start working on an "updated" machine when they just launched this one. As for this machine and improvements/additions the only thing I see is later on down the road the HD model with upgraded cord will launch, a 5" plate, and a reworked 230v machine for the rest of the world.

Other than that, the focus will be on launching the gear driven XCE at the end of the year.

Congrats Mike! cant wait for your review my friend.
