For the old timers and a stretch for you younguns but...

Yes!

First, I remember that song as a kid. I'm gonna say I was 5 or 6 when that song was popular...

Fast forward to 2012, it was on a mix cd I bought. I'm listening to that song, and On and On by Steven Bishop - another favorite from my childhood.

2012 was the year I started seeing my better half, who I've know since 5th grade.

Besides all that, it's such a great tune musically!

Ohhhhh...I love On and On! :props:

And to that, I would like to throw in this as well:

These tunes are awesome for that long drive, particularly in the evening.

Also, cheers to you and your lady! :dblthumb2:

Tom Petty: Learning to fly

Eagles: Peaceful easy feeling

Pink Floyd: Wish you were here

CCR: Fortunate Son

Golden earing- radar love

My two favorite classic driving tunes are:
1. Radar Love- Golden Earring
2. Highway Star- Deep Purple

Plenty of great songs to listen to while you're driving, however Radar Love has the lyrics:

"Been drivin' all night, my hands wet on the wheel
There's a voice in my head that drives my heel
It's my baby callin'; said I need you here
And it's a half-past four and I'm shiftin' gear"

Which makes it a song ABOUT driving, and the first one that comes to mind for me. But as I said plenty of great driving songs.

Anything and everything counts! Basically what is your favorite thing to listen to while driving. While my original post was based on the supposition of my favorite tunes for a "spirited" drive... NPR, Beach Boys, solid lifters on a muscle V8 etc. all count.
