For those that have coatings

Its funny to me at how many people get a coating and use boosters on top of it. They rave at the performance of the coating.
...
In fact I did the exact thing with my Wrangler for four years, nothing but OCW. Paint was perfect at the end, no etching, water spots, etc.

And that worked well for you...so that's the best thing for you.

I've used a truckload of coatings and associated boosters in the last year on a variety of vehicles with a variety of maint. routines and usage patterns. Coatings alone, coatings with boosters; well maintained vehicles, vehicles that didn't receive so much as a wash in 9 or 10 months; personal vehicles that were lightly used, personal vehicles with heavy use, fleet vehicles that are abused more than rent-a-wreck cars.

Through all this I've determined what works best...for me. The combination (that does include the use of a booster as a drying aid) is but one element in the overall package that affords me the final looks and performance that I desire. Some elements of that package provide durability, some offer a subtle change to appearance and some provide ease of maintenance...and combined they satisfy my particular needs.

To disparage a strategy ("It's funny to me...") that is not tailored to your particular situation is myopic at best.

Guys what is your procedure for usinf ech20 as a qd? Do you spray and wipe off before using another cloth to buff it? Just after tips as don't want to scratch the car!
As it's coated i just normally wash it and touch dry with a towel so rubbing a mf cloth has me worried

I use 2 towels..the first towel I spray a light mist on the towel and fold it in half and then in thirds. Spray the panel with Ech2o and wipe one way. You will see a dirt line, roll the towel to get a clean edge and continue until that side is dirty. Continue with the other 11 sides. Do a final wipe with a clean and dry mf after every panel as a final wipe.

On the initial wipe, only wipe in one direction. You don't want the dirt you just picked up to mar the paint. Although I do wipe in one direction on the final wipe, it's not necessary to do so.

Oh, and this is also my waterless wash procedure.

Thank you! I'll be using this technique for my qd after a normal wash. Appreciate your input
