One of my customers at my full time job contacted me to correct this sweet Fairlane. The status of this car is this, it pretty much sits in a repair shop while all sorts of chemicals and spray paint get tossed around, so it had TONS of overspray and contamination. Having seen my work on my Facebook page and a car I completed it person, he wanted to get his completed before a regional event he qualified into. This car is pretty reckless, big block Ford, no nitrous, no power adders, just a lot of horsepower and a lot of fun.

Wash - Rinseless wash using Meguiar's D114
Decon' - Nanoskin wash mitt (twice) and a Meguiar's soft clay bar
Compound/Polish - Shine Supply Flat Top and Shine Supply Classic Cut
Pads - Meguiar's 5" MF Cutting Disc and Meguiar's 5" Thin Cutting Disc
LSP - Shine Supply Signature Shine Carnuaba Wax

Wheels were hit quickly with a Mothers PowerCone and Shine Supply Cloud9 metal polish. Tires were not dressed and the interior was briefly wiped out with Meguiar's D114.

Couldn't get a great focus on some of the overspray and contamination.

50/50 of the hood. The hood and rooftop fought me the whole way, clogging my MF cutting discs non-stop. Once leveled, I used Shine Supply Classic Cut to removed lighter defects and left it LSP ready.

To make things easier, the driver side mirror was removed and polished.

The rear trunk lid was riddled with deep scratches and defects. The contamination was removed, but many of the deeper defects remain (Before).

If you'll notice it was raining outside while I was finishing up. Luckily, the owner picked it up just minutes after it stopped raining! Wish I could have taken some outside shots, but these will have to do for now. Thanks for looking!

Wow!

What a turn around you got. Suggest he gets a car cover so it will stay turned around for a while. That car is too nice now to be parked in a dirty shop.

(I have a little extra space in my garage)

Awesome car and quite a turnaround. That paint was quite neglected. Was it pretty easy to bring back to life? Lots of passes or just one pass with the compound get it corrected?

Great work and awesome car!!! It looks great, love the stance, tub job, and wheels, everything...and the paint came out great too!

It wasn't bad at all once the contamination and overspray was removed. All the vertical panels were corrected with Shine Supply Classic Cut, which I would compare to something like Menzerna PF2500.

Thanks guys! It was a fun project to complete.
