From "stay tuned" to T U N E D !!

Is the the piggyback the Stillen TruControl?

Looking it up I find it interesting they measure HP gain at the flywheel and torque at the wheels. Other tuners I've looked at normally show only the flywheel or crank specs since it is nearly impossible to get consistent/repeatable "at the wheel" values on a dyno.

Based on the claimed 55HP and 50 lbs/ft from their site, let's hope he's statistically close on torque and gets around 45-ish more HP (due to 15% drivetrain loss).

The weather isn't ideal but will be far more favorable than if you did it in the dead of summer. From my highly calibrated butt-dyno, I've always found the 60-70 degree mark seemed to be the ambient sweet spot with any car.

It is the TruControl

I do wish it were about 60, maybe they'll close the doors and hook up those exhaust ducts to the tsilpipes

****UPDATE****

So my buddy with the same EN as me (has 20K more miles) has set up a dyno day THIS Friday. This is the same place he dyno'd in the spring where he put down 277/283 w/o using the NGS button and 283/289 using it. Now he's got a full Stillen cat-back exhaust and Stillen piggyback w/colder NGK plugs to support it. He's got an aFe open intake and aFe TIP but those aren't installed yet and will not be for the dyno, that's too bad actually.

We get 4 pulls on the Mustang dyno for $125 and its supposed to 45 and rainy this Friday, figures but apparently that doesn't matter for us. There's another car dynoing too, an STi w/COBB everything including E30 tune. He roll raced him "In Mexico" and the STi put a solid car on him but it's supposed to make 415 whp, I guess we'll see.

So what's your prediction for his EN and what do you think I'll make

Jealous! One day I will get on one, when I'm FBO.

I haven't dyno'd since 2008 with my MINI Cooper S. It had a 2.5" exhaust w/Magnaflow muffler and enclosed Ram-Air intake...149whp and 172 WTQ, "Heartbreaker Dyno" but my heart wasn't broke because I wanted to see how it did.

I mean honestly 150whp in a car that size is still spunky, unslow rather lol. Just not a ground pounder per say lol.

I hope to see 375whp once FBO. I would be thrilled with that.

I was more impressed with that torque amount!

The first number is from his pull in May, bone stock...the next one was his pull with the Stillen piggyback turned off, stock w/the Stillen cat-back doing it's thing and 3rd one with the Stillen piggyback turned onto RACE, look at those gains

Yeah...I was up but down rather quickly

On the first pull the car was apparently missing, confirmed on the 2nd pull too and that's where we left it, no numbers to report and $150 to tell me that my car was "missing". No CEL or issues driving there or going home but issues WOT in 4th gear. I didn't take a pic of the graph because I was surprised and listening to the owner explain the possible issues:

-Bad coils
They are brand new but apparently people have had issues with these, that's what I get for spending the extra $200 to "upgrade" while changing plugs.

The ECU tune
The owner of the shop said it could be too rich and/or because I don't drive my car hard that could've factored in as well. I'm not aware of a modern car needing an "Italian tune-up"

I'm pretty dejected here because I spent some good money buying a new ECU with the tune on it, the colder plugs and "upgraded" coils here. The TIP and N Performance intake were just add ons to help things along.

I'm not sure what to do here, I emailed my tuner (N75) and they are always short and to the point about things, I'm the opposite as I'm chatty and need things explained to me with a crayon so I understand and/or feel better about the situation. At this point I wish I had just bought an exhaust like Marcins Sfillen, look at those gains with just that!

Sorry it didn't go as you planned but knowledge is power, in this case literally. Those gains from his exhaust are nuts...shocking in a good way. Curious what you find. I for one am already considering a different brand of TCU Software. The APR tune for the TCU is less than steller so far and I can see why people often pair a different brand of TCU Software with APRs ECU software.

The response from my tuner, don't understand this and I feel lost here, atleast the car doesn't have a drive ability issue🫣

Vague response, they should understand how our brains function and how we worry over things....being the "detailers" we are. All about the deets.... I think the right response would've been "when can you bring it in". I plan on contacting mine just so they can experience my TCU issue...I can easily replicate it so not too worried about them going "drove fine for us."

Keep is posted! I'd push the matter though.
