Fuzion over Zainos

Has anyone tried it?

Is it worth it on black?

In a short word yes it is worth it.

I have a black Tacoma and it looks fantastic. Be sure to use 2 coats of Fuzion over the Zaino and apply the coats 24 hours apart.

I am talking about layering, sorry for the unclear post.
Using it as a topcoat on top of multiple layers of Zainos

IIRC, Zaino is not meant to be top with other brand LSP's?

That's partially correct, yes. Zaino themselves don't sanction topping their sealants with any other LSPs, the reason being that the Zaino system is designed to bond either with bare paint or with itself, and adding another LSP makes it impossible to layer additional coats of Zaino afterward since it won't bond.

However, if you don't plan on adding any more Zaino you can most definitely top what is already there with a different LSP like Fuzion for the purpose of changing the appearance of the finish. You probably AREN'T going to add much by way of protection or durability though, since Zaino by itself tends to have very good protective properties and long durability.

That's what I thought.
I was just curious if the Fuzion would add any more depth/shine to 21 properly applied coats of Z2.
I usually do a major layering like this once or twice a year.
Always looking for MORE!

Back in the day I knew a guy on one of the F-body forums who owned a Firehawk and a Comp T/A that he coated with Zaino every weekend. By the time he finally got rid of the cars, he claimed to have had upwards of 500 coats of Z2 on them

Opti-Coat what? :joking:

You could try some Z8 Grand Finale. It is like Z6 Quick Detailer on steroids. I love the stuff.

Dave

Got Z8 just looking to change things up a bit.
Got ZCS
Got ZAIO
Got Blonde borderfree towels.
Got Zainos!

For years I started my Z treatment with a base of KAIO
I also mix Menzerna and Sonus products on my silver cars, why not mix it up?

I like the Zaino line but often challenged the 10-15-20 or more coats of a product. I see it more as wasted product versus better looks. I think two coats of anything should work well enough.

Fuzion is nice looking and love the wax, but not sure that topping Z with it will bring on a very noticable difference. If you find differently please let us know.

I'll try it tomorrow, at least on the roof and bring the results to Detail Fest next weekend!
