"G R E A T" Idea for next contest

I apologize for being MIA. I have been away dealing with familial issues. It has taken me a couple of days to get back into the swing of things.

Now that Ive started, I want to write some more

This thread has me thinking about rhyming words hardcore

+1 :iagree:

I can do much better in this thread if my words didnt have a censor

I've had to rethink whole posts due to this issue

Perfect Timing

The packages arrive, and to no avail,

six products awaiting a scheduled detail.

Forcast tommorrow-"Rain followed by snow showers",

the meteorologist's tone quite dour.

Profitability this week is curtailed.

Welcome back V.T. , no need to apologize.
Family always comes first, we all realize.
The weather tomorrow for me is the same.
Looks like Ol' Man Winter is still in the game.
But not our Meteorologists: They're now pulverized!

No Cuervo Gold margaritas,
just ain't enough burn in tequilla.
She needs something with a little more edge,
and a little more pain...

 DOH!!!... that's the song on the radio.

Bob Seger "Turn The Page"-poetic license.

On a long and tedious 3-step, I forgot to tape the crease;

what appeared in an instant, nearly knocked me to my knees.

From between the dust and compound, emerged a bright lustrious spot,

Because my thoughts were wandering, the finish became way too hot.

Images: of an angry client, a painter, and my wallet fleeced.

The clock on the wall says that's all. How about it AG staff ? :hungry:

I'm retreating now to my phrontistory
To attempt yet another amphigory.
You will never hear any of my detestations,
If composing limericks incur my lucubrations.
That's chastisement one hears from "HER" growlery.

phrontistory
amphigory.
lucubrations.
"HER" growlery.

:D

Lucid, only with my Roget's at hand. Very well composed.

On the honey-do list, the items accumulate.

Perusing the agenda, caused me to hesitate;

Lo and behold , in plain english I'm told,

and , from her, so charmingly cajoled-

"The swirls on the Sebring are starting to irritate!!!"

Have a great day you all, I have got to get started on that list, pronto.

The temperature is thirty seven degrees and the wind is gusting.

Earlier this morning, thirty four degrees ,the snow was crusting.

On the Weather Channel: Europe In A Deep Freeze.

For much of Romania, Snow Is Up To The Eaves..

For my location tomorrow- another snow dusting.

Hi VT...
And...Speaking of the weather:

We only received a couple of inches of snow.
But it's 10 below, with the wind's laminar flow.
Where's Bacon been?...Snow up to his knees?
Or, perhaps it's the mixture of his "anti-freeze"!!
Anyway...Hoping his role here is more than a cameo.

Hi Guys, I got a lot of catching up and limerick reading to do!
Hopefully, this will explain 'things"

The flu shot didn't work, illness brought Bacon to knees
could'nt get on my feet ..I needed sympathy please
as I was lying in bed, limericks in the head
wondering if my boys were thinking I was dead
feeling all the best now, new limericks to appease

Glad your up and around now Bacon...!!

Being ill, sometimes, feels like being ran over by Boches.
Nothing seems to help, not even VaporRub-soaked swatches.
Has somebody been beating on me, or resorted to kicking?
No need to worry everyone, because soon I'll be mimicking,
What John Cameron Swayze used to say about Timex watches.

The next time that you plan on going AGO-detail-supplies shopping,
And you hear a voice in the background saying: "Pass without stopping",
Just consider it no more than Her "muffled" appeal
As from your wallet you Liberate some money with zeal.
"It's the American Way", you tell her, "I've kept the Dow Jones from dropping".

Like a Mikaira indica, I see the bait;

Writing instrument at hand, choosing not to wait.

Obliging versifier for the invite.

Matriarchal anxieties lessen forthright.

To this end, worries and tension negate.

Found a product that I want to try. However, @ $30/oz., is not only hard to justifiy, but difficult to limerick.

Solution Finish...

...Black Plastic and Vinyl Restorer,

Brought Avalanche back to days of yore.

The price of the product? I was stunned!

Thirty dollars an ounce , I reasoned ?

Realizing later- unparalleled luster .

Ok maybe one more.....

Tomorrow is a day of training

New guy comes by and removes some staining

But what he doesn't know is what is in store

He luckily gets to learn and destroy the work trucks interior with steam galore!

Yes I will let him learn on the truck, cause the alternate would be a customers complaining!

Today is my first day off in a while, oh my!
I am feeling euphoric, I am feeling high!
I have so much to do and so little time
Don't know why I stopped to make up this rhyme
With that being said, have a great day... BYE!

I remember calling out my professor because the haiku that we were reading does not follow the 5-7-5 format per stanza, then it came back to my face when she said that we were reading the English translation.LOL

As you can tell, I get as close as I can. Rhyme and meter for me is not as important as getting to a finished product. The last English class that I had was in 1980, and I received a C- as a final grade. This endeavor takes me about 30 minuted just to compose. Great time killer.

The biggest draw to this is that it lessens the opportunity for me to post on everyone's thread like a tagger gone wild.

No "bad vibrations" like that^^ here, AGO member: brawl.
Limerick here all you want, you'll incur no such: 'pitch-or-yawl'.
No worries about what's haiku, or even Kaizen;
There's even been poetic-attempts on detailin'.
By putting your "paper-to-pen", its effect will surely enthrall.

All of us...(some more than others)...have known the difficulty we've experienced at selecting the perfect Valentine's Day gift for our loved ones. So, with that in mind...(and before 02.14.2012 comes to an end).....

A Special Valentine's Day Limerick

A buddy of mine...well...He's no St. Bellarmine.
Happens to be married to three wives at a time.
When I asked: "Why a third"?
He replied: "One's absurd!
And everyone knows that bigamy's a crime".

:D

To my AG Members, as inspired by the AG Limerick Team (they have been creating some amazing verse :applause:), I offer for your viewing:

A Happy Valentines Day to those lurking here
Hoping your AG products are bringing you cheer
don't forget your loved one
do some "things" and have fun
for those who are single persevere

When a customer arrives to drop off their car
Don't just let 'em take off, or go too far.
Time to do your:"Walk about mate" (with camera nearby).
Insurance, so to speak, if later they should decry:
"These chips weren't here before"! (Proves they're bipolar.)
