I have quite a few detailing products in gallon jugs. Rinseless wash, Detailer, Wax, All Purpose Cleaners.

At times, especially when trying to pour just a small quanity such as just an ounce or two to mix up some rinseless pouring from a gallon jugs can get messy and one finds some of the product gets spilled and wasted.

So as i struggled with this issue a very economical solution occurred to me. I use these cone shaped caps called Yorker caps on all my gallon jugs. Bought a dozen or so for just a couple $ on the net. Makes pouring spill free and easy to control small quantities.

Thank you! You have no idea how many different caps and spouts and pumps I have tried for gallons, but it never occurred to me to use one of those!

PS What is the thread on that, 38/400?

PPS Can you share where you got yours? I usually get things like this at US Plastics, but the caps are 36 cents each there and I'm sure the shipping is going to be something like $15. Unfortunately when you say to yourself "oh, that must be some minimum shipping, I'll just add a few other things I can use and the shipping will probably be the same"...and of course the shipping actually goes up more.

Yes it was US plastics. These are the ones i bought. They were sent USPS. Dont recall the exact $ for shipping as i bought them in August but dont recall it being excessive.

Yeah, they're pricey for shipping. I had gotten some screw on funnels, like the ones from Griot's, when they had them. It lessens the need to have something on the jug. I've also got one of the Griot's pouring spouts, which has adjustable flow. There's a slightly different version of that's sold for antifreeze/windshield washer fluid.

You still gotta worry about the jug glugging with those since they're not allowing air back into the jug while you're pouring.

Ok, you're right, I put 10 in the cart and USPS shipping is $5.79; UPS is $14.38.

I've been using the Griot's, super handy.

I have the Griots also.

Some great ideas here! Thanks! I've just been using screw on funnels.

I use the ones from Griot's Garage but I'm not sure how many other jugs they fit other than their own jugs

It's a simple twist to open and close, you can even adjust how much comes out.

The Griots spouts will fit most American branded gallon containers including P&S, Meguiar's, Adam's, Shine Supply, DIY, ADS..........................

They won't fit the likes of Gyeon, Carpro, Gtechniq, Bilt Hamber.

I have a bottle from UK of AutoFoam from 2019 and it fit those threads….

They must have changed the bottles at some point. Actually, in recent times, they have changed the cap on 5-litre bottles, both are a larger opening to the US stuff, but the cap has changed to a safety style.

Touch-less v1 -

Touch-less v2 -

I actually tried to order spouts for the BH 5-litre jugs, but the official BH ones aren't sold here and are an odd thread size, so the Carpro ones won't fit either.

Yeah my touchless came that way. I was more posting that because I didn’t know if threads are different across the pond.

Timely thread as I just bought a few gallons of ADS.

Thanks for this suggestion, hadn't heard of it before. I was just searching the web and found Chemical Guys sells these on Amazon. 3 pack for $2.75 is worth trying out. https://www.amazon.com/Chemical-Guys-ACC_111-Gallon-Size-Spout/dp/B00BCH4S9Y?gQT=1

I'll pick up the Griot's spouts next time I put in an AG order.

Anybody find a solution for the Koch Chemie jugs?
