Mark, I am looking forward to hearing how you like the P21S. I never got around to trying the P21 wheel cleaning products either. I'd like to know if the P21S gets the stubborn little dots of tar and brake dust off the rims without resorting to clay. I plan to send my cross spoke rims in for repainting over the coming months and need to find something safe and effective.
Finally finished up the CG Diablo (Neutral pH) which never impressed me with bimmer dust. OPC was just as good or better than the Diablo in my hands.
I want to find a wheel cleaner that works without much aggitation as my Daytona wheel brushes are too thick in diameter for the new 528i rims. I need something long and flat. Just broke down and bought Sonax and Iron X to try, although I worry about doing damage to the rim, caliper and rotors. I didn't even think about P21S for some reason.
Did you ever try Brown Royal. Old Tiger seems to be a fan.

I am quite surprised to note youve never tried P21S, especially since most consider it the "king of the mountain" and measure anything/everything against it.
You make some good points here, Bob. I NEVER cheap out on products if I feel they're needed. I want a pH-neutral wheel cleaner that I can use and not have to worry about following the instructions to a T, or, if the cleaners might be perfectly fine for the wheels, but not the brakes.
I've tried Sonax. Although it's effective, I DO NOT like how it does not foam. Makes me feel like it dries up too fast.
I've tried GG HD cleaner as well. It's nice, foams a lot, but doesn't have the potency as Sonax. However, along with the other "iron dissolving cleaners", they attack the rotors pretty good, and always seem to leave rust drop stains on the barrels, even after rinsing very well. This bugs me. I do not seem to get this with non iron dissolving wheel cleaners.
I'm going to try P21S. I might like it, I might not.
