Acid washed, aluminum compound on a wool pad, then metal polish on a gray foam pad. Thank you! This forum really helped me out on this truck!
 
In your orig. post you stated stainless. Either way did you check out the website I mentioned? Heckuva outcome!!!
 
Amazing job man. That's quite a job to take on. I hope you got paid very well. I know how much work that is...I'm sure you were happy to see the end result, ha. :dblthumb2:
 
It was aluminum. I did get paid pretty good. I did check out those websites but I couldn't get the stuff quick enough so I stopped at a truck stop and it had acid and the metal compound and polish. I am very happy with the results after I got through my head that you will see the "grain" look in the metal
 
Sounds like the compound was either brown or green. You were lucky because most chain truckstops don't carry that stuff anymore. Excellent job. I believe you inspired some hands here. Now for the pontoon boats!

haha if the price is right I'll do potoon boats! The compound was green. It was a private truck stop places like TA didn't have anything.

Yeah.10-04 rodger that. You'll be surprised what a person selling their pontoon will pay for a mirror finish.
 
Well I may have to look into advertising for that too. After I got over the size of the thing it wasn't that bad to do
