Got a work platform for 30 instead of 70 from Home Depot, Thought Id pass along geeks

I dont want to get banned posting this but Home Depot has a work platform for 30 bucks instead of 70, I just paid 30 for it with tax. Pretty good imo and can hold 300 lbs and slim folds.
 
buy some foam pipe insulation (lowes), then cut it to the desired length and then attach some zip ties around to hold it. this will help prevent the edge of the platform from accidentally banging into the paint and causing damage...

I️ got the Werner one a couple years ago from Lowe’s for somewhere in the same price range. Thinking of getting that gorilla one this year or another Werner if they go on sale again

FWIW yes Lowe’s is doing it again with the Werner. Claims a 225 weight limit. I️ am right around that weight and have had someone else walk over and get up on it with me (uninvited and I️ thought this is just gonna fold) and it did fine. It will be $19.97

I️ don’t know which is better but this is an additional 10 buck savings. They usually go fairly quick like in a day or two

I picked up one this morning. Very sturdy and well made (I weigh 180). Thanks for the heads up!

I use one for my buckets, it helps my back so I dont have to bend over as much.
 
I know Gorilla Ladder is on sale, saw it. I was curious about the Werner. The $19.97 price isn’t listed online that I can find

I hear you... 1 of the things that made it a no brainer for me was the fact that it's listed at 300lbs. instead of the typical 200-200lbs.. I hover around 240lbs. after a good meal, + an additional 12lbs. That the Detailers Helper Belt adds when fully equipped with a polisher + my cat weighs 10lbs. and shes sure to constantly hop on and off... I can't trust their max weight limit and feel good about it.

300lbs. Now that's what I'm talking about.

Quit teasing. I have mine ordered but cannot pick up until later =)
My fault and apologies for not listing. I bought a very similar one to that. There are two models for some reason. I plan on finding some grip tape and putting that on it so I dont slip

The werners do go on sale but the 20 dollar ones dont have a high weight limit

I saved the day lol. Cant wait to pick up mine. 3m probably sells no slip tape too

Huh? Of course they do!

A work platform must be tested
to 4x its rated capacity.

OSHA 1910.23(e)(1):
”Mobile ladder stands and platforms are
capable of supporting at least four times
their maximum intended load.”
