Gravity feed for my water tank??

Is that an "On Demand" water pump like mentioned earlier?

Thank you for taking the time to do that by the way! I appreciate it very much.

No problem.

It's a gear-driven pump if that's what you mean. I'll admit, it's an over-kill for detailing cars. But it comes in handy for washing homes.

I don't know what I mean, ha. I just know someone mentioned that I need an on demand pump so that the water stops flowing once I release the trigger.

Maybe on demand pump, and gear driven pump are the same thing?

I have been using the sureflo for 3 years with no problems. I let my PW run the hole time I wash. Just make sure you have a good battery or run your van while washing.
Good luck Jim

I use to use gravity but a couple of years ago I went to an electric pump thats runs off of my trucks battery and have noticed a longer life on my electric pressure washers. Also this gives me water to rinse with if I lose electricity as the pump puts out water at 45 psi equal to your house water pressure, powered by the truck battery.

You need to return the pump and get an "on demand" pump. On demand means when you squeeze the trigger the pump turns on when you stop flowing water the pump shuts off. My pump is from northern tools (I think it is made by sureflo) and it is a 12v pump so it is made for automotive and RV use, making it real easy to hook up for mobile detailing.

The good thing about having a pump is if your pressure washer craps out you have great water pressure from just the hose so you can wash a car traditionally just like at home or a shop!

Good luck

Thanks WindyCity good point or bypass pressure washer altogether (noise restrictions) and use pump like in video I located below.

Does anyone have photos (video) of their setup pressure washer and tank to share without a separate pump to draw water, The two MOST POPULAR brands of PRESSURE WASHER for DRAWING WATER from a STATIC (STANDING) source would seem to be KARCHER & KRANZLE (DIRTKILLER) but rare to see the units in post. I've searched for videos and all, I contacted one pressure washer supply company in hopes of them making a video for mobile detailers to view showing their KRANZLE (electric) & DIRTKILLER (gas) models drawing water from a standing source such as a 55 gallon drum, bucket or water tank, hope they respond shortly after July 4th holiday.
