Griots BOSS Foaming system. *NEW*

So glad I don’t have a pressure washer!

I’m such a sucker for advertisement...

Except if you look at the info, they also have directions to use it with a pump up sprayer or a conventional hose foam gun...

While I’ve never been a foam guy, this system has me really intrigued.

Where I’m a sucker is the price difference to upgrade - I briefly debated getting the chemicals and their pump up foamer to apply that way, but then for an extra $60, you can just get the BOSS cannon and speed up the whole system... (I do already have a pressure washer though)

Seriously looking at their starter kit. I kind of wish they had the kit with just the Cannon + 2 or 3 of the new foams since I already have PFMs, but more towels never hurt. Plus, it’s only like $10 more than buying the cannon + 2 foams anyway.

The thought and engineering that goes into GG's new products is mind blowing.

They have an incredible team there.

I'm proud to own many of their products, from my GG6, all the way down the line.

There will be many more in the future.

Guz - Thanks for posting the Facebook video for the rest of us.

I think I’m sold on the system. I’ve never been a foam wash person, but this looks like it takes it to a different level in regards to lifting and removing contaminants vs just foaming with standard soaps.

I’m also intrigued to try the Foaming Poly Gloss. Looks like a more foolproof version of the spray-on/blast off SiO2 products, and I’m really curious to see how the anti-static aspect works.

Thought it was nice during the video that he was up front that they’re selling an AR pressure washer, but added that they cover it with their lifetime warranty. I also appreciated that they fielded the question comparing it to Carpro Hydro, instead of just passing that question by and keeping it an all Griot’s conversation.

Their Foaming Surface Prep strikes me as an interesting alternative to the new McKee’s Coating Prep Auto Wash. Be cool to see someone do a head to head with them once they’re out in the wild.

I was curious how it would stack up to the new McKees product, too...both in performance and price point

I love Griot's, too. I have the 6" (short-stroke) polisher that came before the current model, the Rupes 15 Mark II, and RUPES Mini. The Griot's polisher is actually my favorite to use. It's the most versatile, too.

I've owned all the brands of Polishers and the GG6 is still my favorite as well.

Greetings,

Going with this cannon washer and have a question. On the product page they list under additional item 6-pack of metering tips. Are these replacement tips for what's included or are they truly additional. I'll be using a gas powered mid-level Robi.

TIA

I'm pretty sure they are replacement tips.

I'll send the link to this thread to Jeff Brown and see if he can chime in.

For what it's worth, we used the new Griot's BOSS Foam System at my Roadshow Class at Griot's over the summer and then again here at Autogeek to make a video and it's the most well-thought-out foam system I've ever used or seen.

It will get any dirty car seriously clean or gently wash and maintain any car already in great condition.

:)

Hey Yinzer, This is Jeff with Griot's Garage. My role at Griot's is product development and I managed the Foam System Development, along with our great team. THE BOSS FOAM CANNON will come with one each of the three tips (Aqua, Pink, and Purple). We offer the six pack of tips because we will all inevitably lose something that small eventually. For your gas pressure washer, the PINK tip will be ideal. Don't hesitate to reach out if you've got any other questions. Thanks to Mike for shooting me your question. Have fun in your garage

Copy that.... heading out to the garage right now to finish polishing the paint on this old 2-door Ford and then I'm going to apply a ceramic paint coating.

The foaming surface prep has a higher pH so does that mean it will strip wax or affect sealants? If that is the case, will the foaming Poly Gloss apply a sufficient base coat of protection?

When will the surface prep foam be available in the 36 ounce bottle?

Thanks.
