I just received a much-wanted Griot's 6" polisher for Christmas, but it's too cold to use it right now... I was disappointed in the cheap wrenches that came with the unit, especially that stamped wrench for the pad attachment, and wrote to Griot's.
Anyway, I ordered a 9/16" Proto (Stanley) Check Nut thin wrench made for this kind of use (the 14mm cone wrenches from my bicycle toolbox are a little too wide). I'll let you guys know how it fits after it gets here. Here's a generic image (the size on the wrench in the picture is, of course, not correct):
The 6mm hex key is much more easily replaced, of course.
