Gtechniq EXO is in stock! Pick up a can today and see what Europe has been raving about!

GTechniq EXO is a paint coating that protects virtually any surface from dirt, sun exposure, and moisture permanently. Durability tests prove that after 600 washes, water still beads on surfaces treated with EXO. Hybrid coating technology gives automobiles, aircraft, boats, and recreational vehicles unbeatable protection from the elements.

Is the prep required for this the same as other coatings? More? Less?

Duh, I guess I should ask about the app. method, too, since it looks like an aerosol can.

Sounds like an amazing product Nick!! :props:

I read that you have to use panel wipe to get the polishing oils off, not just IPA wipe. Any way I can get panel wipe easily?

Found this on my desk this morning...

Wouldn't a couple thorough wipes with an IPA solution or Eraser provide an oil free/wax free surface? These products work well with OC and CQ, but not EXO?

If not, what product is recommended that is AG available? Thanks.

Why would you decide to use this over...lets say for example Fuzion. with that I don't need to throw away the MF towels after I am done with them.

Longer durability, yes, but what about shine?

no need to throw away the towels with EXO. Gloss is exceptional - every one of our Accredited Detailers over here in limey land has unbelievably good feedback on this point.

Will Prep Sol work as a cleaner for EXO?

prep sol is fine. this looks to be a regular body shop silicone remover.

After polishing or using a prewax cleaner (like Wolfgang's Polish Enhancer for example), I still don't understand why a couple good IPA mix or Eraser wipe downs wouldn't work to remove any oils/silicone.

Rob, Please let me know. I was planning on using top inspection followed by IPA at 50/50 with distilled water. Yeah or Nay?

What would you use on your car to prep the car post polish for EXO?

I thought in another thread it was mentioned that this product would work

Detailer's Cleanse-All Exterior Cleaner

To Rob at Gtechiq...

Now you see why I was asking you about the prep wipe recommendations?

Thanks Mike. Most quaility polishes (or prewax cleaners)are silicone free and following that with an IPA mix or Eraser wipe or two will remove any residue...that works of course works for CQ and OC.

Whooo hoo I ordered it as soon as the price showed up last week lol. I also ordered the car pro eraser so hopefully that is strong enough.
Im mainly looking for water repellency. I've gotten acid rain spots with every sealant and wax I've tried. I usually blow off the cars after every rain but sometimes obviously I can't.
Can't wait to try it out....

I use ultima waterless wash constantly. Will this be ok over exo? I hardly ever do a normal wash anymore. Just a
Wipe down every two days.

I've read over on Detailing World that some people have had issues when they used just IPA or Eraser prior to application of Exo.

Issues...what kind?? Are they using IPA or Eraser after polishing or prewax cleaning....or are they trying to remove a previous LSP?
