Gtechniq - Now Available at Autogeek!

c1.5 does not have a covalent bond so it can be applied as you would any physically bonding sealant. it can be applied over glazes/waxes/other sealants too.

best way is to spray onto a mf cloth, spread and then buff with a second working one panel at a time. 2 coats is optimal. any more and you risk getting excess product onto panels.

Thanks Rob. I guess an MF-covered applicator, or even a foam applicator would work too?

thanks - answers might be a bit staccato with the time difference across the pond - but I'm on here checking

dear Mr Rob ,

I have several question about this product, due I have just bough it in AG and must now how to use this product:

1. can u explained me the process for using C1
2. how about the applicator pad, how do i maintain the applicator pad if i had used for the first time, should I thrown away the pads into the garbage
3. can i buff it with only cobra microfiber or I must used suede micro fiber for buff this C1 ( reference to the application in you tube)

I hope u can explained me clearly, due to I am i buyer who far away from your country, and I don't want this product i bought become useless

sorry for many asking due to I am just nubie in this detailing

regards
Ifan

either would be fine. you just need to ensure that whatever you use is sufficiently soft so that it won't introduce swirls into your finish

Rob, can silo seal be stripped off with a strong APC?

yes - silo seal will be affected by strong apc but c1 will be fine. tbh one of the benefits of using our range is that you will not need strong chems to clean your car. we much prefer that people use a high quality shampoo with pure shampoo ingredients such as our g-wash rather than using harsh detergent prods. long term this combined with the durability of c1 or exo will help to maintain the quality of all your vehicles finishes since they will require re polishing less often and you will need to wash less often and less vigorously using less harsh chems.

see the vid posted above and this one for instructions. c1 is a doddle to apply. for the applicators. use one for about 2-3 panels and then bin it. any mf cloth is fine - we recommend short pile dense mf cloths preferably with a 30% polyamide content as these remove residue much better than long pile cloths and the extra 10% polyamide makes for a significantly softer cloth

see this vid too - i recommend you leave 12 hours before overcoating with c1.5 (scuse the poor sound - we'll have to invest in a lapel mike for next time!)

yes you can. I personally find those block pads a bit awkward but if you get on with them there is no reason you cannot use them.

Haha! I agree, they are a bit awkward to hold!

yellow sponge applicator works best for me! I'll try c1 with that applicator!

Thanks Rob - think I'll give it a try with a foam applicator.

I bet the trim on my Yukon would soak some of that up!

That black trim on the rear bumper can never stay nice!

It appears everyone jumped on the Gtechniq this weekend, I see the shelf is looking
like a couple of you sneaked in this weekend and raided us!

I am off to go place another order...:bolt:

ETA on EXO being on the store by the end of the week? Pricing? extra sale price :P

How we started out...
The Scion has arrived and it's really sunny outside so I took some pictures to show the true condition. I would place the condition of this car in Category #3 in my list of paint condition categories.

It's definitely not in Show Car Quality, nor Excellent Condition so it falls into Category #3 Good Condition.
