Gtechniq - Now Available at Autogeek!

and carnauba wax just won't adhere too well and is much less functional than EXO

so, for a 30ml bottle of C1, how many cars can be done with that 30cc?

also, what kind of longevity can be expected, on average?

Base on my usage of CQ I would say that a 30ml bottle will do 1 car. As far as the durability of C1. I don't know the answer... But it appears the AG is not selling C1 at this time.

sorry - been out n about -

c1 30ml is enough to do a single 5 series car. it is a chemically bonding quartz coating so it is essentially a permanent coating.

but tbh - your hand will be twitching for your rotary sooner than that as no matter how careful you are and even wiht the scratch resistance of c1, you will get swirls reappearing much sooner than the coating is done protecting. for people who care about car care, we normally reckon a 3 year cycle between applications.

Any updates on when EXO will be available?
I have a job starting tomorrow and the customer really wants to have EXO applied. I will have the car for 2 weeks but if Autogeek doesn't have it I may have to order from a place in Hawaii....

Just thought I put up some quick pics from todays wash. G|Tech C1.5 on the paint and T1 on the tires. C1.5 is great, sometimes little sticky but still buff off well, T1 is little different then other dressings I have used but still good so far. Tires are new so may need to do a deeper clean but see how it holds up.

Did not think a new thread was warranted for few pics so hope its ok:

Haven't had time to read the entire thread, so...

...will AG also be carrying the Gtechniq polishes? Haven't seen them listed in the line-up. Perhaps I missed them.

there are other pure shampoos around - dodo btbm is one - not done much product testing for US shampoos but I am sure there are others out there.

not a fan of snow foams as they are quite often comprised of caustic ingredients. yes they clean well but so does a good pure high quality shampoo but the shampoo doesn't damage any coatings you have applied.

Rob, thanks for answering all of these questions and your input.

I do have DDJ B2BM and think it is an ok soap. I wonder though if you know or can look into my favorite soap to use for customers Meg's D110 Hyper Wash. It is cost effective and has great cleaning ability for me.

Update on EXO.... Please :thankyousign:

I just checked and it didn't come in today...

The first car I'm going to use this on did however, do you think EXO is a good choice for a classic Mustang like this with a fairly exotic paint job?

Exo ?

Hi,
will the EXO be a permanent layer (ala Opti Coat) or what kind of durability expectation?

do you know the pricing / container size?

thanks

24 karat gold flake!?

You can see the gold flake reflecting in some of the places where the sun hits the body panels.

Should be even better after we machine polish the paint and the apply the EXO

From what I've seen, EXO works miracles on metallic paints, that Mustang should look amazing!!!

Is EXO meant to be used as a stand alone LSP? I keep seeing people using it as a topper over C1.

Do we have any caustic type snow foams in the U.S.? I thought these were only in the UK market. Would a d-limonene cleaner like Citrus Was and Gloss or P21S Total Auto Was be OK for GT coatings?

What is the expiation of EXO in the spray can? I know the bottles of C1 are meant to be single use.

Thanks.
