Dear Forum Members,

I wanted to take more pics, but was more interested in fixing this truck up. Here are some before and after pics of this 2008 454SS. This was among the hardest clear coat I've ever come across.

Products Used
Meg's Claybar
7424XP with XMT3 using Griot's BOSS white pads
Griot's GG6 with Sonax polish using Griot's orange pads
XMT 180 applied by hand
McKees 37 Tire Gloss
McKees 37 Wheel Glaze

All told approx. 7.5 hours to get her "back in black".

Used 2 different polishers today to share the load (so to speak) noting today was 98 with 85% humidity in NJ.

Nice. The last black car my wife had was a tbss.

Details on the 454?

I didn't get much info from the owner as he was in and out all day. I can tell you it has a great exhaust note and I think it has stock 20's on relatively wide wheels giving it a nice stance. I didn't drive it so I can speak to its performance but it looks pretty good now :-).

Very nice!

Yeah, some of that GM paint is like glass it's so hard.

would like to see a picture of the whole car

This was a friend's SUV so I can ask him to text me a pic or two when it comes out of the garage this week. I did this job in his garage and as you can see from the side reflection pic, the garage was quite full so I was unable to stand back far enough to capture the whole SUV.
