Happy Friday ladies and gents! What are the plans for the weekend? I plan on hitting my car for the full winter detail:

Wash
Clay
Meg's MF
2 coats of Collinite 915 applied with a red LC CCS pad.

A family friend is coming down from NYC and brining us some ceviche from a local spot in the Bronx. Everytime my fiance goes up to NYC, she brings back ceviche from this spot. So since the family friend is coming down, we asked her to bring us some. I was shooting for ceviche and pizza but she's taking the bus down and I don't want to get her jumped.

Thats my excitement for the weekend...what about you guys?

There's a baseball game on here in Philly tonight. Tomorrow...

wash
clay
polish
seal
Collinite

Nice! Are you going to the game? Which Collinite are you using?

I might do mine too

planning on iron x, clay, kaio, ksg and 845

also have a cherokee to opticoat so my plan may change to ONR wash depending on how tired I am...

Let's hope the pitching matchup lives up to the hype!

No real plans this weekend...it's supposed to rain a lot. If it doesn't, I wouldn't mind going fishing and/or getting on my road bike. My truck can use a wash too, so if the weather holds up, I've got my work cut out for me.

Today washing/claying/polishing the DD, tonight watching the ball game. For the next two days hiding inside from the 40 degree temps, rain and snow.

DAYUM!!! 40 degrees? Well...then again you are in the mountains.

We'll see how much time I have from other errands...

wash
clay
3m Machine Polish
3m Ultrafine Machine Polish
3m Performance Finish
3m Perfect-It wax

Btw, does anyone else use 3m on this forum? I was wondering if the Ultrafine is effective at polishing glass, I've read that others have had good results with m105, just curious. Thanks if anyone chimes in.

Ultrafine won't do much on glass since the surface is so hard. It's a very gentle polish that is used for final polishing / jeweling on paint (soft surface). With that said, it does a damn good job as a final polish.

Nah...I plan on watching it from the comfortable confines of a bar stool in front of a glass of beer (<-TBD).

Collinite = #845

I stopped by my folks' place a week or two ago and hit all of their cars with it after a quick wash n' clay. It took me the entire day, so obviously, my car's just been sitting there anxiously waiting for the 845 love.

Would you recommend something as aggressive as a compound then? Or would that be too rough for glass...

Glass is much harder than paint, so you can use more aggressive products without a problem. I've used M105 on glass many times and it works quite well in regards to water spot removal and such.

My wife's car is getting a layer of DP Poli-Coat this weekend. Aside from that, I'll probably still be sulking from the Yankees loss last night.

man I heard that this morning...I'm not big on baseball but I was shocked with Detroit winning. Looks like they are all trying to do something this year...baseball and football.

Well it was until I arrived at work and the stupid lawncare company had their mowers (with blades on) running and pelted the side of my car.:cry:

So my weekend will now include trying to buff marks out and using touch up paint.

At the moment that's all I dare say, or I may get banned from AGO for extreme use of foul language.

OH MAN!!! I'm so sorry to hear this! Those lawn[don't]care people DON'T take the time to become familiar with their surroundings. They don't appreciate others property. My fiance has a lawn service that comes every Friday. It took them three times to break her back glass sliding door for her to realize that its not a good idea to let them in her back yard. They break it when they weed wack her patio and edge, causing rocks to go flying everywhere. Make sure you make them bastids pay!!!

here's hoping your weekend turns out better. :bestwishes:

Get this, according to ou security guards it sounds like I'll have to go through my insurance to get it fixed. BS, why should I have to pay? Why aren't people ever held accountable for their actions.

There is a reason a park a 1/10 of a mile from the office at the end of he lot, to keep this crap from happening, or at least to minimize it.

If that lawn care service is any good, they should have insurance for situations just like this.

I own a small lawn care company, but have never had to deal with a situation like this. We respect other people's property and are careful, I make sure of it. It's a shame that more companies can't respect the property of others.

Security doesn't sound like the right people to talk to. Call the lawn[don't]care management and tell them what happened. They need to be held accountable for this.
