As I alluded to:
Once the 3-4" pads are In Use,
they will naturally become "heavier".
Thus, IMO:
The need then arises to balance-out that "heavier-weight"; and, by having the polisher equipped with either of the 5-6" counterweights is a sensible way towards that goal.
Bob
I don't think my 4" CCS pads are even an ounce heavier
at the end of a polishing session
I know my 3" DAMF Cutting Pads wouldn't even hold 1/2 an ounce of compound
Is there anyone out there that has both the 5" and 6" counter weights for their PC and uses it with 4" pads?
If you do, please try the machine with 4" pads and each of the counter weights
If it performs better/less vibration with the 5" CW than the 6" CE, then wouldn't that lead us to believe that it would work even better with 10 grams of weight removed from the 5" CW?
