Have you ever stopped doing a vehicle that's too bad?

Whelp, sometimes things just need to be replaced(the carpets).

ya thats what I am kinda thinking at this point. I am still working on it off and on just to see and try different things. But I dont know. I did however notice that it didnt look quite so bad when I turned off the spotlight and looked at in sunlight. But its still pretty noticeable.

We worked on a horrible Toyota Sienna that was heavily abused. Nasty carpets, even the consoles and plastics prices were damaged and gross. We did the best we could with our myteelite extractor and steamer. It was much better but the carpets were so Babylon stained that they continued to wick up stains after multiple passes and towels to dry it up as much as possible. At the end it was improved, however some carpets are so bad they need to be removed and other replaced or soaked, treated and dried outside the vehicle.
Sometimes you can only do so much, and call it a day.

if you do this as a business , than time is money.
cut your loses and let it go , or let the client know what`s there and decide what`s the best option.
yes, if i have to stop working on a vehicle that i don`t get results , i will put everything down and move on.

How does the customer take that? Do you charge them anything or discount it heavily?
