HD car care products

What steps/process do you guys take on the compounds? Im going to be trying the process on my trucks, its a 2013 ford 150 color white.

Very hard to answer this question without seeing the paint. You need to do a test spot with various pads and products to see what corrects to your satisfaction with what technique.

If you are new to machine polishing and since you have a new truck you might want to consider HD Speed for your first time polishing--since it is an AIO it has mild abrasives and some protection built in--depending on the condidtion of your paint it may or may not remove all the swirls, but since it is mild you won't get into trouble. But you still have to do a test spot to see what technique (what machine speed, how much pressure, how many passes) and what pad are going to work best on your paint. If you do try out HD Speed make sure you top it with your favorite LSP as it's durability is only about 2 months.

As mentioned by others HD Adapt might be another alternative -- it has more cut than Polish or Speed, but will finish down really well so it would save some $$$ in that you'd only need to buy one polish to start but remember it will remove more clearcoat as any more aggressive product will.

So is Adapt supposed to be a compound and polish with cut is based on pad?

Basically making two products in one.

From some of the videos and reviews I've read I believe it finishes down LSP ready on harder paints even with a light cutting pad--perhaps others know for sure.

Pick up some HD ADAPT. Start with a polishing pad on your test spot. If that doesn't work, move to a more aggressive pad until you find the desired results. With white paint, micromarring will be very hard to see(if there is any). HD ADAPT should be able to be used as a 1-step on your truck with ease.

they recently opened a store here in miami. i went there when i was looking for pads, and they were the only detailing store around.. i ended up buying their yellow, blue and black pads.. and the wool pad. along with their "SPEED". they gave me a sample of hd cut and hd proxy (wax) i used all 3 of them on my accord and the results were phenomenal..also i must add.. they are very economical.. and the guys in the store are very helpfull and friendly. they even tried all of the 3 products on a demo hood right in front of me.
