I'm wondering if you could repair the grill on that infiniti. As far as application, did you basically follow that 50-50 urethane thread?

He used compound where the thread's OP didn't use compound at all.

The Chrome was painted on and went away so you can fix the grill without a repaint.

To fix the grill you would need to repaont it. The fake Chrome is painted on. I might have to prep this vehicle to be sold soon. If so I'm going to pull the grill off and paint it

Looks great man! I followed your same process (almost to a T) and didn't get quite the same results on my Mustang lights.

I used:
320 wet
600 wet
800 wet
1000 wet
1500 wet

m105/ Yellow CCS
m205/ Orange CCS

I'm thinking I may need that 2500 and another step of polishing.

any pics? i know M105 is great for removing sanding marks, but IDK about 1500 grit marks on plastic. i would say your right, use 2500 but you shouldnt need another polishing step tho

Polished out a set for my friend last night, they were not in too bad of shape, but I did polish out 1500 grit sanding marks with no problem.

Process was:
1000 grit wet
1500 grit wet
Menzerna Power Gloss on HT Cyan, rotary 1000 rpm.

I will have to snap some pics of them... I also might not be getting enough power/heat with the PC, may need to source a rotary.

Nice job.

Would starting with 1000 grit even make a dent in those headlights? Just curious...
